Like I said mate I don't think it's a coincidence that Brooks has ended up at Manly where a lot of of Isaac Moses clients have ended up lately & the fact it it's a 3-4 year deal makes the point even stronger. Cowboys openly came out & shut down talk of Brooks joining them & the only clubs he was being linked to as of late were Super League clubs. Then he signs a multi-year deal for Manly as Isaac Moses client? come on Earl it's all there, Seibold did this exact thing at Brisbane. This isn't a knock on Brooks this is just observing what's obviously being played out. We're also talking about Isaac Moses who is known for these sorts of things & holding clubs hostage.

No one wants him as a half.
Plain and simple.
We were stupid to play him there for years.
I think if we had snared Moses he would have stayed and played outside him.
But, just like 95% of the people on here already knew he’ll be going somewhere to play five eighth (or even as a backup hooker or centre) on about the same small money we offered him.
At least he won’t be trotted out to rattle on about it being ‘his’ team anymore.

Brooks will do well at Manly. Having an organising half will do wonders for him, lot of pressure off his shoulders. Will probably make the club look a bit silly at letting him go. Will still have the same mistakes in his game but that won't be noticed because he'll be successful in the 6 role.

Luke Brooks is your father. You should respect him. Without him you wouldn't be alive today.
 
Brooks will most likely do well at Manly and I hope he does. What really ticks me off is that our coaches and even Brooks himself couldn’t see that the WT/Brooks relationship was beyond stale and needed to be sorted out BEFORE this season started, choosing instead to offload Hastings, publicly declare their support for Brooks long term and hinging everything on building a new team around him. Not 6 months later and everyone wants out, what a waste of a season 😞

On another note, I wonder why Manly has signed Jacob Arthur and now Brooks? How many halves do they need unless they have plans for playing either Arthur or Brooks in another position altogether?
 
Congratulations Luke Brooks. His career will only blossom alongside DCE, Turbo and co. Couldnt of happened to a nicer guy. His dream has a chance of coming to fruition. No he won’t. The guy can’t play. Much like Alfie’s hit single in 92 - St George can’t play! I still listen to it sometimes when I want to feel better about myself.

Anyhow, he’ll be playing for Blacktown Workers in no time. The good old boys aren’t there to keep saying they can get the best out of him.

I hope you are wrong but for your sake I hope you are right. Kudos to everyone. Have a soft spot for Tito Santana. Good wrestler.
 
Would have preferred he stayed, but ok to move on knowing Lee and co have a great halves pairing planned. Brooks picks up about $100K per year over the Tigers offer, and importantly he won't get blamed for every loss, there will be less pressure on him. Finally, we'll get to see how he performs working with a top grade half, something WT should have done many years ago. Good luck to him.

SPOT ON!

We should avoid Moses like the plague. Manly has DCE, Manly has Schulster and enough players that could fit the other half. Signing Brooks is the work of Issac Moses and not the interests of Manly.

That said, unless Manly are going to punt DCE (and if that happens it's in a league of Atomic stupidity), I would like to see the DCE at 7 Brooks at 6 combo.
