Personally, I hope to be proved wrong, but I think they will get us on both edges and a 50 plus scoreline is the probable outcome.

I really hope I cop plenty from everyone on here when my prediction ends up being way off the mark, but I just can't see us being able to compete and stay in this game for all that long, especially up in the deep North despite us having a pretty good record up there.

I also foresee a 50+ scoreline. Api leads our defensive line. Without him we are struggling. No Api, no happy.

I wouldn’t touch those odds.

Cowboys are hot we aren’t
Last 3 games since us - 37-76 - 3 Loses
Last 3 games since them - 99-49 - 3 Wins all against top 8 teams.

They will be filthy and be on a mission for redemption. Expect a carve up & back to the spoon position.
 
It's unlikely we'll be able to jag a win but jeez it would be brilliant if we could upset their season again.

Will be happy if our forwards get back into the high level grind they had earlier in the season. Also happy with the bench, you'd think Kepoa is in the forward rotation.

How does naden and talau keep being named in the squad and not performing?

So true, if you dont give them a go, you will never know.
 
Some on here have absolutely no idea about team selection....Have a look back over this season and try and understand what our COACHING misfits are trying to do...
1. Lets jumble players around until we can find the position they suit us to play..
2.Now Brooks seems gone lets give Wakes and Laurie a turn in the halves because Laurie was a known 6 in his days at the Riff but we tried to make a Teddy out of him...
3.Put Star back out in the centres where he was improving every game before we tried to make a 6 out of him...
Api is out and he is our main stay and experienced 9,so we put Jake back in with a rookie because we have no decent depth so they say...
Why do we keep giving Naden a chance...BECAUSE HE IS A GOOD CENTRE and is experienced enough to play 80 mins with NO real depth...
I could go on but cant you blokes see that this is PURE SHEENIUS at work...we have experience,very young talented kids coming through and NO DECENT backups in any positions we can rely on..
If we get through this year with no major injuries to our youth then maybe next year we run 2nd last ...
I just hope Fulton and the recruitment team realise that this is NRL and not group football where mistakes are forgiven over a couple of beers...NRL its a BUSINESS not a country footy club mixing under 10s with under 12s for experience..Hopefully we win on the weekend,but I would rather we become more professional within this football club,otherwise its more of the same for the next 10 years as the last...
 
The betting agencies amaze me . We thrash cowboys putting 66 pts on them
Since then we've played 3 times for 3 losses one of which vs Raiders we really should have won . So based on 2 really bad games Titans and Storm where we played Toa out of position and persisted with previous failed center selections .The Cowboys are the shortest price $1.15 the hottest of red hot favourites?
It must mostly come down to No Brooks and No Api
Sportsbet must be expecting them to put 50 on us or a 110 pt turnaround !!!!
A few other changes no Joffa ,no Talau and Pole back to bench and starting with Blore
If Daino could surprise with the game of his life who knows !
 
I'm optimistic about Daino in the halves this week. He is the best option I see to provide some go forward in the halves and provide the spark we need to capitalise on broken play. I'm a realist though and don't expect him to set the world on fire this weekend.

If Wakes can dig into the line deeper before he grubbers it could be another good option close to the line and with a run up he has the ability to contest our own high balls.

A solid display is what I want to see and if he shows that let's see what combinations develop over the next ten weeks. This is the play we should have made early in the year when it was clear that AD was not a 6 and Daino at 1 was a liability under the high ball.

I'm taking the tigers with the start - I don't expect it will be as bad as many expect.

Please... since then we’ve lost our halfback and hooker, lost 3 straight (we shouldn’t have beaten the Raiders, they dominated for close to 70 mins before falling asleep as they do every game they win), and the Cowboys have woken up and beaten 3 top 8 teams. The bookies are looking at it with open eyes rather than through Tigers glasses.

I think the Tigers might be about the only team in NRL history who could beat a team by 50 odd one week, then lose by 50 to the same team the next week. With the same players.

And no one would be surprised.

Completely agree. Said it some time ago - the (admittedly) limited number of times I've seen him I think he's been pretty good.

I agree what that says is its not about ability its about attitude and effort
 
Who knows how they'll go, but I can't remember a 6 & 7 who'd have a lighter combined weight than the Tigers this week.

Not saying anything, just wondering if there's been a smaller pairing? Can't think of one.
