NRL INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT REVIEW ON WESTS TIGERS

In the wake of the most embarrassing performance that I have witnessed by a Rugby League team in my 60 years of following the game surely a compulsive and independent Review must be organised by the NRL on the Wests Tigers. The NRL have a responsibility in maintaining the integrity of this great game by demanding answers on the bizarre and absurd performances by one of their licensed stakeholders. Not only Wests Tigers supporters are owed explanations but all Rugby League followers. With the prospects of growing the game nationally, the Wests Tigers licence to play in the NRL has to be up for serious discussion. From the Licence Holders in Wests Ashfield, to the CEO and Coaching staff etc. only a group of expert and independent Sports Consultants can identify the issues of this shambles of a club. The obvious initial answer is the club is void of a quality playing roster but apart from that Wests Tigers supporters are owed serious answers on where has it all gone wrong, who is responsible and who should take the fall. The consultants must be independent of Wests Ashfield and provide the NRL with answers on whether the club in its current situation deserves to operate in the competition or be relocated or have a NRL interim management team takeover until the problems are resolved. I am sure Wests Tigers supporters are echoing my thoughts ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

Very well thought out , yes it would be fantastic to get a 100% independent review on the whole thing , trouble is , Justin , Lee , Sheens , Board would all get punted on the same day , they all need to go , so it won’t happen

Two games we have won are against the two teams who will very likely be there at the end.

Similar thing happened last season - mid year radical major decisions by our illustrious leaders - and then the thrashings came on the back of it.
The roster is not top 8 but the leadership is bottom of the barrel.

Local Government Councils are often sacked and replaced by an interim Management team until the problems are identified including finances etc. are rectified. Let them all go including coaches or take the NRL operating licence from them.

local councils are not NRL teams..

Wests Ashfield own 90 percent of the club and they seem happy enough having clowns run it

You would think at some point PVL and Abdo would get involved, it's not good for the N.R.L brand for this crap to happen.

I would agree with all of that as i see our roster as midtable or just below but our coaching and management at the lowest possible level

Will there be a unbiased review of the mess at the Tigers NO is the answer the main problem is and always lays at the board level there have been very good astute people who have worked at this club over the years and always have left because backroom dealings inept management poor recruitment and retention. One of the best people who worked at this club was forced out there dumb thinking and planning. That was Peter Mulholland.

Not going to happen. NRL only gets involved when franchises are insolvent and Tigers are not anywhere near that.

If the NRL was in the habit of stepping in for badly performing clubs we'd already have seen it for the Eels, Knights and Dogs wooden spoon teams of the past decade.

We have limited skilled players at the club…

Once a couple of those get injuried… this is what happens
Rubbish. Defence has been ok all year then that happens. We have the same cap as other teams and it comes down to the NRL looking the other way plus persons at the club that put themselves before the team

ok … we have plenty of good depth at the club ..as evidenced last night
