Lomax when he resigned it was widely acknowledged that he took unders in exchange for longer term. Roughly 5 years X 525k, At that price need be good. Better value than nof, Naden etc

Doing wonders for St George. Sign him up in a heartbeat.Lomax when he resigned it was widely acknowledged that he took unders in exchange for longer term. Roughly 5 years X 525k, At that price need be good. Better value than nof, Naden etc
I'd swap him for nof in an instant.Doing wonders for St George. Sign him up in a heartbeat.
I reckon we move our best youngsters into the top 30 very early to ensure we keep them. It’s to the detriment of the current year however. Why not - one of the best juniors in Aus and 18 next yr and a five eight. Only a few months younger then Fainu
That doesn’t matter.I reckon we move our best youngsters into the top 30 very early to ensure we keep them. It’s to the detriment of the current year however.
Biggest loss this club had out of last years debacle of a season.Ben Gardiner.
We are closer to 2003 than 2005. Filtering through the Michael Beuttner's of the world, waiting for the real star players- our Benji's & Robbie's- to come through the juniors. So we are in a similar position with Sheens to before our 05 success. We could only recruit players with ability if they were returning from major injury (Scott Prince & Pat Richards) or solid experienced players who Sheens felt were good for culture & could find their potential at the Tigers (Hodgson, Whatuira, Elford).
I’m wondering whether players with similar experience who have a point to prove & yet to hit their peak may be our target.
Three can think of off the top of my head are Lachlan Lam, Connor Tracey & Blake Taafe.
Any others that fit the profile?

Dragons fans call him Slomax now.
Galvin sounds pretty special. If we get Fainu why not a Galvin/Fainu combination in our halves. I can see success just around the corner. I'm thinking 2030.
And its a detriment to their development. These kids are winners, they'll get jack of losing real quick.I reckon we move our best youngsters into the top 30 very early to ensure we keep them. It’s to the detriment of the current year however.
That is hardly "Just around the corner" and certainly would not satisfy me and i suspect many others from being told that it will be another 7 years to be a success.
I was trying to be positive. A more realistic timetable would be something like 3030.
I think our recruitment drive just took a massive Kick in the nuts.
I didnt watch the game Thankfully,
All my confidence in the club is back, we will once again be a destination club and I can renew my membership next year.Sounds like next year is looking great. Benji stepping up to do more coaching and hopefully signing a rookie wiz kid to fill one of our key halves role. What could go wrong ?
But if we follow the yellow brick road . . . . . . . . . . .Again we will be looking at wizard of oz recruitment.
Signing those with no heart, no courage, no brain.
