I’m sure they have signed already… Pascoe just hasn’t announced it yet as he is waiting for the club to have something bad happen and then he will announce to deflect from that..

I don’t necessarily believe we are the worst but regularly used as pawns by player managers. I would be pretty sure that they know this but have to stay in the game cause in most cases they are the best of what’s available

Our record in the past 7 or 8 years (coincidentally since Pascoe has been here) we've either paid massive overs to get a player here (Reynolds, Packer, Mbye etc), paid players significant amounts to play elsewhere (Mbye), or missed out completely (Latrell, JAC, TPJ, Moses, Pearce, SJ, etc.).
I don't think there is a club that has made worse deals than us, and miss out more than us (and probably leak more than us).
In addition to this we are awful at planning (Sheens head of pathways to GM to coach, Joffa re-signs a multi-year contract then release 6 months later).
We are a mess and this is why I expect us to screw this up.

We've made some good signings too: Hastings, Matterson, Teal, Joe O, Papali'i, Api, Bateman, Klemmer, Corey Thompson, Luciano Leilua etc
Roster makes a difference whether you finish at 7/8 or 9/10 but last few years we've finished mostly in the bottom 4.
Coaching, culture, identity and lack of want to win is a big part of it all. Plenty of players have failed here and succeeded elsewhere or left here because they didn't get the support given to them. It's all well and good to blame the players saying they broke contracts, they didn't keep their word etc but most of them left because they were unhappy here, few left for more $$
That would be devastating news and add to our long list of failures as a club imho

That's not a problem, we could probably release their brother so he can join them and pay for the whole family to relocate to the Gold Coast so they can all be together.
We are so dumb, dumb but nice.
Just the word from around Burleigh, des has a history of destroying salary caps so wouldn’t be surprised
