No mention of fainu. They mentioned Tanah Boyd, Trindall and Metcalf.Did theybmention fainu?

We released Stevanovic. Doubt he’ll come back. Always reminded me of a younger Moses has talent but is very hot and cold but his attitude was pretty spot on, competitive, fought for every play; exactly the kind of player Wests Tigers don’t recruit. Funny that.Brodie Croft is absolutely not an option, if we are being fair dinkum - which this club rarely is.
A - He has signed a long term deal with Salford.
B - He is a very average footballer which is why he is no longer in the NRL.
If you are in the Storm system, and are ear marked as Cooper Cronk's replacement, yet that Storm team lets you go in favour of playing a journeyman fullback in the 7 (Jahrome Hughes) you definitely aren't the solve for another club. I would mark Brodie Croft as one of Craig Bellamy's few fails.
We have to be talking to Luke Metcalf, who is a great runner of the football. He would definitely be a solve in the 6 position, and as someone rightly mentioned on this forum earlier, thinking outside the box for someone like Ben Stevanovic in the Bears NSW Cup team is a smart play.
I am not a Jake Clifford fan either, but we are fast running out of options, exposing the terrible planning and retention 'strategies' our club is employing.
Whoever we get in 6 or 7 needs to be signed soon with the intent of having a full pre-season with the team.
No. We were stupid enough to mention it all over the place, we actually declared it to everyone that wanted to listen, except officially to the NRL, and Turd Greenturd decided to treated it fairly if not consistently. 🤣🤣 🤣I think you forget that we got punished because it was not declared, not for the deal we decided to do.
I wasn't aware of that clause - thanks for pointing it out.Croft has get out clauses in his contract that can be evoked every single year if an NRL club comes knocking. that is fact. he's pretty much off contract every year if an NRL side wants to bring him across.
I'm not looking at this with rose coloured glasses because we've been linked with him, but he is an improvement on what we currently have. he is at least a threat from a running standpoint, which Wakeham is most certainly not. his short kicking game is also good enough to apply pressure, and he plays down the right edge for Salford, which is where he would play for us if we end up with Latu.
I agree on your Metcalf take, I'd love him and he wants to play 7, but given he's under contract he might be harder to prise away from his current club than Brodie is.
So why aren’t we doing it?
He actually had a shocker against us in KOE, but he was 17 at the time and on debut.Latu Fainu carved us up in KOE. He is NRL ready now.
🤮Pascoe extended another 5 years
It’s nothing to do with club not being able to close a deal or the club culture bull crap.Evidently, so the club cannot adequately support the coaches , or as they call them the footy department. Despite their claims that they do.
Looked OK the other night. Tackled well, directed play and kicked goals from the side-line. An improvement for us and if paired with a mobile 5/8 we're in with a chance!Tanah Boyd isn't the worst option given how stuck we are at this point. I quite like how he has reinvented himself as a 7.
Pass.Brodie Croft anyone? 😎
Bottom of the barrelBrodie Croft anyone? 😎
Patience. Seldom found in a woman, never in a man.If you spoke up about Brooks being our best and only option you were labelled as a fan boy.
We can't attract a better half than him, there isn't even one on the market. And we're not talking anyone out of a contract, when we can't even talk free agents into joining.
Rookie free agents who are guaranteed an NRL start even.
Absolute madness that we're in this position without a plan.
Issue I have with it all is all third party agreements must be at arms length from the club, as in the club are not to approach any person or sponsor for one. We all know that's not how it works though, the Roosters must just have dumb luck to find one whenever they need one, now with Laundy at the Dogs it's just obvious. In saying that though if the N.R.L aren't going to enforce it good luck to them.I thought the Major sponsor can offer up club third party deals to a certain amount.
Prehaps what ever the value is, instead of giving them a deal of $50k in third party deals, they’ve offered them $50k in shares. Could be allowed? Must be if it’s been given the green light.
And because Pasco in his infinite wisdom kept the contract at his place which is a big no no. All contracts / paperwork must stay at the clubs head office.I think you forget that we got punished because it was not declared, not for the deal we decided to do.
