Gus has said that a few times now, it's in his interest for us to stay the basket case.

Although unlikely… there is a an outside chance the Tigers get on a roll .. win a couple of games and leapfrog the Dogs… wouldn’t look real good if that happened and he had been shit-canning us all season

I really don't rate Alex McKinnon's insight into the game at all.
I'm glad the NRL has supported the bloke, but I rarely agree with his opinions on footy.

I like Brad Parker too for his defence. Someone has been spruiking Xavier Savage, and yeah...I can get on board with that for sure. We do not have that kind of speed available. Keio Weekes would be my alternative to Savage- or both if we can't re-sign Staines. I wanted 2 centres at first, but Feledy needs a path into 1st grade. And I think maybe Tupou could slot in at centre too. Plus, To'a & Naden. What we don't want is too much congestion & players like Feledy get shuffled out of the mix.

Our wide defence needs upgrading. People that read the attack is vital. And defence includes taking high kicks successfully. So wingers that can catch are extremely important.

2 wingers & a centre & I think we are good out wide. Need competition for places out there.

The defence of our 5/8 is also important. No more swinging gates in defence please.

Naden isn't good enough imo. Too inconsistent & has too many brain explosions.

Yeah I'm one also who think Junior Tupou will be better as a tackle-breaking centre than a wing. He was a centre back in his junior days in Canberra and also junior wallabies, possessing a good pass. Anyway I'll leave that to Benji.

Need to see more of him at NRL level, but he looks better than any of our wingers are at the moment.

Seen him playing right centre ( I think right not left) anyway every time he was really strong defensively and no slouch in attack. Tall lad so handy for defusing short kick offs and bombs.

The trouble with us we need to fill a lot holes in our roster with very limited spaces available

Just watching the replay of the Jets x Warriors NSW Cup game - Ronald Volkman just did a goal line dropout that went 60m on the fly, huge kicking game for a small guy but cannons for legs.

I don’t have an opinion one way or the other but what gets you off side with him? I genuinely can’t think of anything he’s been it tbh

Why is that?

Can't think of a specific instance, I just can't remember a time where I actually agreed with one of his takes in terms of on field stuff. He never really seems to add much to the conversation.

The more I think about it, one of the players I hope Fulton/Benji have on the same page is BRAD PARKER. He is no game-breaker but would bring experience in the centres, strong defence, effort & leadership, all ingredients we lack in the outside backs.

He is a Manly junior so may not want to move but unlikely he is a Top 17 player next season unless they see him as a 2nd Row/Centre bench utility.

He could be our modern day Shane Elford!

My only concern with Parker is injuries. His body has taken a battering as he has played a very physical style of game for a long time

Naden is a solid back-up/rotation guy. Plus, he's under contract for the next 4 years. He's not terrible, but can't be relied on either.

Tupou's biggest weakness, as far as I can see, is his ability to catch bombs. He can pass nicely. If he had Staines outside him...

Just had a look at who is in the Matt Desira Aria Management stable that it seems we are on side with (Benji's manager) ... Brandon Mansfield, Heath Mason, Mikey Tannous, Jeral Skelton (interesting considering @a_dog mail last week), Jayden Campbell ... no others that would really interest us.

Definitely a legit concern. Alamoti or Momerovski could be alternatives.

He is not good enough no, but he is signed another two years to end 2025 … I hope he is depth only…but I’m sure he is on starter money

Isaiah Tass would be the other 'gettable' centre who Fulton should investigate. Under contract but Wighton coming in may see him become expendable at the Rabbits (solid in both A & D).

Gus actually reiterated his comments from earlier in the year on 100% footy, that the Wests Tigers are not far off a good team despite results and ladder position, he said they are heading in the right direction

The night is darkest before dawn type stuff. Certainly feels that way at the moment. I just have no sense of when dawn is coming or if it is coming.

If you listened to Braith last night, he talked about the type of guys the Tigers need going forward. Benji is no doubt also aware.

I got the feeling Benji briefed him before the show. That gives me confidence that we will be very careful not to recruit any dumbass low IQ sooky footballers and may do what we can to offload them (i.e. Kepaoa, Nofa).
