This program will culminate in a Community and Development tour of Tamworth with a curtain-raiser to be played at Scully Park prior to our NRL Round 22 match against South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Not specifically saying we should or should not keep Sukkar, but the point is we are not going to have many short stumpy forwards in our NRL side no matter how hard they run.
And as others are pointing out, where are our tall, fast, athletic and aggressive outside backs ?
They both did an ACL. We didn't have many but Ngutlik and Hill were our options, other than Bula. Poor recruitment from us, however we've been ravaged by injuries across all grades this season

Vicious’ point is well made though. I can teach most kids to step, fend, pass, offload etc. I can’t teach someone to be 6 foot 5 and mobile like the Storm guys they like to target. Miller looks likely and his Achilles heal will be how hard he wants to work.
Did Jordan miller do his Achilles is that why he's gone missing

And i agree to an extent.
We have too often recruited undersized players. Our backs and forwards tend to be small.
However with the likes of Miller, Galvin, Nav Willett, Sam Fainu and potentially Jimmy we will start having more players of different builds making their way through our squads.

Apologize if I am foolhardy - but do the majority of these players get sick of losing in first grade when they make it and move onto bigger stuff in life when they dont make the top 8 with the team that raised them?

Young Alex Conti being poached by rugby union
He's been playing both codes for years. Of course he has to make a call shortly on which one he wants to continue with. Better career opportunities with league, union is a very small pond but Australian rugby being so crap these days talented youngsters can get a shot despite only being a few teams. I see him staying with us...

Hopefully I'm wrong although I think Rugby will go big and pinch Onitoni Large from us. Just watched his 2023 Rugby highlights and he killed it against 18 years olds like Suaali did. Given we have brought in Latu Fainu in his position I have a bad feeling that he will look elsewhere and rugby will spend big to get him.
