Don't hate it. I actually think loaning Nofa last year was the worst thing we could do, it showed that even in the Melbourne system he just wasn't really the player that he once was (albeit for a short period), it probably scared off any remaining interested parties.
He reminds me a lot of Josh Mansour in the last few years of his career, speed and strength seem to decline rapidly for wingers, once you start to lose those attributes the cliff comes pretty quick.

Yes I agree we need to get Nofa off our books for the long-term good of our roster even if we have to pay 50% freight.

Having him on $500k/year restricts us being able to try to recruit other quality experienced outside backs.

I reckon if we could move Nofa on (ideal for Super League), we'd be a good chance of a Justin Olam or Tim Lafai type experienced centre.

On a side note after watching last night's game, imagine having a left edge of Justin Olam & Ray Vaega. Opposition attacks would be worried about getting snapped in half by these two.

Have noticed since Brooks has signed elsewhere that Nofa has become the new whipping boy and unfairly imo. Think he has solid this year and the level of criticism has been unfair.

In regards to halves I'm hoping Sullivan and Fainu are our halves for the next 15 years and so our juniors won't matter so much.

I think that's due to his lack of speed and the tries he let's in.

Nofa deserves whipping. He's playing like a $120k winger...

Whoever signed off on his contract needs to be shown the door. The amount and length of contract was way off. He should've been offered $350k (that's generous) for 2-3 years.

Would any club pay Nofo 300k per season ? I can't see it happening. I reckon we have to wear it until some kid comes through and deserves the spot. What we can't have is coaches who won't pick the kid because we could end up in a situation like losing Koro or JAC.

He does. He still belts it up. It's more the cost of his contract and the fact we have a backline that is struggling with not enough pace.

I honestly think we've got him on the books for the next 2 seasons and we just have to make do.

Only chance I think is England and the Tigers would need to contribute over half his salary..

Nof has been disgraceful. The sheer laziness, incompetence and brain explosions.
Every time he gets selected is an insult. Especially if Tupou is playing in the centres.

Excuse me, but did you notice in the match against Raiders, the intercept on own 10 metre line gets a 3 to 4 metre start on opposition and before the halfway mark 4 raiders rounded him up.

Would that not make you question Nofo's value to our team anymore, when being a winger is about having speed, and he no longer does.

Also his defence this year is terrible.

He cannot defend high bombs on the line.
His attack consists of running 10 to 20 meters accross field and 1 or 2 meters forward.

I love Nofo for how he has played for us in the past.

But honestly his use by seems to have arrived.

Anasta actually bristled at the report that manager Mario Tartak (via Carayannis) was complaining his young players were not receiving adequate teaching to develop their games.

Anasta stated in no uncertain terms that he knew Benji & Sheens well - and that players would definitely be learning a lot!

There are rugby league people - and there are random spectators who never get it!

That would be coming from Fulton as well not learning

I can see a Super League club paying $250-$350k for him (if not more as he can play FB as well). That's probably our only hope.
