You always hear about how players kick on when they play in a different system. So how about we talk about players who declined when leaving the Tigers. I'll go first. Sharon Woods.

Lol both not stars by any means ,but definitely played their best footy with us.
Maybe I’m wearing my Orange and Black glasses but the year we had Harry Grant on loan he played his best footy.
More are less won orgin for QLD that year.

lol, just beat me Kaito

Haha i'm surprised nobody else brought it up
earlier Greg! Such a stunning decline like you
mentioned. Rep honors to reserve grader, its
really quite sad. The kid was a stud in juniors
I don't think anybody would have called it...

yeah, i was telling all and sundry he was going to be the next gun 10 year early years. Not sure why he didn't make it elsewhere. Never seemed liked a player not dedicated to his game in his time here and has always shown patches of his brilliance (though inconsistent) when given opportunities elsewhere.

Esan Masters
Blake Ayshford
Luke Garner
Thomas Mikaele
Ben Murdoch-Masila

There’s been plenty but probably none more so than Woods.
not sure that most of them declined rather it shows that our team was so poor that it included many players that are considered subpar elsewhere.

Feel its harder to gauge this in more recent years.
We've had so many reserve grade quality (or fringe NRL level) players, that it doesn't feel like there's an adequate yardstick to measure their overall effectiveness - how good they really are. Hence it's why many don't cut it or make it (to first grade) at other clubs, due to our lower baseline/benchmark.

As already pointed out, Woodsy is the most obvs.
