This may be an unpopular opinion but I think the fox would be a great signing if we either get rid of Nofa or Dogs chip in a little. He provides a lot of value and experience for that winger position as a current SOS and Australian representative. He's still only 28 years old and has another 3-4 good years left in him I reckon. He provides some much needed pace in our backline and the winger position now is arguably our weakest within the squad given our improvement in the halves department.
Culture in football is so important and creating a good environment around the club goes a long way towards a teams potential success, when you mix a club who promotes good club values and combine that with a good culture then it'll turn into something special overtime etc Penrith and Melbourne. Benji is very aware of this and apparently is doing a very good job at creating a positive club culture and trying to promote our club to be a family club hence why they wanted Morris so badly who's a former Wests Tigers player who would echo that message. People criticise us a lot given we've been losing games but majority of the season you can tell there's intent and effort in our performance and we're giving it a crack regardless of our injury toll where in previous years it looks like we'd just give up.The players are all together and want to turn this club around, I'm not naive to think we're doing well I understand we're struggling but at the same time I'm enjoying how the club is handling themselves internally from a culture/system perspective led by Benji it feels different.
A player like JAC just further adds to it, he's a great culture guy and mentor for the juniors coming through and was pivotal to Melbourne's success on and off the field. He's very liked across the league so recruitment may become slightly easier and having a figure like himself around the club will help bring a little of togetherness around the joint and promote the family values Benji is trying to implement.
I don't think there's one single player at the Bulldogs right now that is looking any good besides Averilo who's leaving, so looking solely at his latest form might not be the way to judge what he can provide for a team. It was only less than 12 months ago he was scoring 4 tries for the Kangaroos and was regarded as the best winger in the comp. Personally, I think Ciraldo is trying too hard to make an impact and is pushing his team too hard to a point where it may not be benefiting but more so fatiguing them. For a club who are apparently training the boys too hard they're arguably the most unfit team in the comp. Just my view.
