WT Ownership, The Board & Senior Management - MEGA Thread

We’ve beaten Penrith, NQLD, St George, Redcliffe. 1 of those sides is in the top 8. Still not 50%.

Your phrasing of “Looking at it from a glass half full perspective ..we’ve won 50% of our games against top 8 teams.” It implies that of the top 8 teams we’ve played this year, we’ve won 50% of them. Which isn’t true. We’ve played Brisbane and lost, Warriors and lost, Sharks and lost, Melbourne and lost, Raiders and lost, Knights and lost, Rabbitohs and lost, some of these teams twice. We beat Penrith once.
You’re 100% correct Frosty. I got it wrong. I incorrectly assumed Cowboys were in the top 8 when we beat them and I was wrong in making that assumption. I meant to write ‘50% of our wins’ but I did not, I incorrectly inferred that we were better than we are.
my mistake.
will you ever be able to rationalise and compartmentalise my errors for what they are, perhaps by acknowledging that I’m human? I don’t use gpt chat and often rely on my memory. Big mistake I know. 😂

Pascoe stated in the “Ask the boss” segment that WT had started a spine academy.
Has anyone heard about this previously? Do we know who is heading it up?
We have some pretty good people in the club who could form this spine academy, namely Marshall, Farah, Kimmorley, even Shannon Gallant.

What content like the recent Ask The Boss shows is that if the Club (including Chair, CEO) disclose some of its reasoning for plans and actions, us fans & supporters can live with that (most times).

It's when the club lets media speculation fester and don't come out to set the record straight quickly, that's when frustration & anger builds.

Within the walls of Concord, I reckon they shrug off a lot of the media noise because they know the truth but don't stop to think what members & fans know.

I'm no way excusing the Board & CEO leading 10 years of failure in the NRL competition and some of their decisions over this time, but I do think that if the club had better PR practices & communicated decisions, strategies, key messages etc better, more frequently & more quickly to its fanbase, that would stop a lot of the noise & speculation on negative issues.

I heard him say that too. Because he was reluctant to provide any detail on it, I assumed it was a thought bubble which may or may not progress any further? Does Fulton have anything to do with it?

So I wonder, how many people on here are satisfied with the performance of the club, the board and CEO?
And how many would be prepared to do something to try and generate change? Spend an hour or two for the sake of the future of the club?
Lots of people like to complain but few ever seem to be bothered enough to actually do things other than post anonymously online

Spend an hour or two doing what, and how will that drive change? At the end of the day.. the only people that can change anything is the board of the club …

If you have any suggestions I'm all ears.

The CEO is a bit of a red herring imo.

The CEO does what the board wants.

The board is (my understanding) made up Wests Ashfield people with a few independents thrown into the mix.

I'm not sure how many people are on the board but if you remove Pascoe you still have the same board making the same decisions with a new scapegoat.

The actual solution is to have members/fans/stakeholders vote for the board.

That will never happen but c`est la vie
