We have players that could make the lock role their own, Schuster could take that role and has talent but isn't pushing himself into Manly's starting side.SMH article on Josh Schuster. At 22, he can still make the transition to be the ball playing lock most NRL clubs do not have. The issue is his hefty contract at the Eagles and if they were to chip in a substantial amount he may be a bargain especially if he gets himself motivated. Note in the article below Fulton identified him at age 13 and Bob Fulton also thought very highly of him on first sight. Benji is also mentioned in the article.

NRL 2021: Why Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles superstar Josh Schuster chose league over rugby union
The man who recruited Josh Schuster predicts he will eventually skipper the Sea Eagles and become the long-term halves partner for Daly Cherry-Evans.www.smh.com.au
Don't know if true but heard that Seibold wanted to get the boys club out of Manly and he has offload about 5 or 6 young players so far this year without a worry if they are super talented or not the guys with non-work ethicWe have players that could make the lock role their own, Schuster could take that role and has talent but isn't pushing himself into Manly's starting side.
Also, if Schuster isn't motivated in a team with a good chance at the 8... what will his motivation be in a team coming 17? It's why Api and Klemmer are both good signings as Klemmer is a hard hitter that will keep being a hard hitter. Schuster won't try harder to push us from 14 to 11th when he is giving up on Manly who have a real chance at makign the 8.
We also need to remember at Manly him + marketing de-railled their season. Yes I totally support players standing up for their beliefs, I also totally support calling them TOTAL BOOFHEADS! Freedom of opinion is not freedom from opinion nor cotton wool.
^We just don't need that crap here.
It's a no.

Thank god you're not involved in WT recruitmentEvery name mentioned strengthens our squad. I could put an argument forward for each player.
Lawton could be the ideal #14. Plays backrow & hooker. Tuilagi is talented- regardless of any bad feeling toward him leaving. Condon is promising as well. Weekes has the speed we lack. Fulton is the type of effort player this club needs too.
Manly didn't just sign him to a long term big money deal and will then decide to pay 400k for another club to take himI would seriously consider taking him for 4 years if Manly coughed up 350 - 400k a season. He is only 22 and does have some serious talent - just lacking in maturity and attitude at the moment. If you could turn that around he would be a bargain.
The problem was some were elite, whilst others were good.Does anyone remember how we were travelling as a club prior to 2005 ?
Not real good, but we discovered some elite young talent and the rest is history.
Ill take "who are the Fainu brothers?" for $200 Jeff.Manly didn't just sign him to a long term big money deal and will then decide to pay 400k for another club to take him
We got lucky he was exposed mid season...manly gets stuck with himWas Schuster really an option or did we boost his asking price for Manly to re-sign him to acquire the Fainu bros and possibly Weekes? Now Manly may want to move him along but would have to pick up some of the contract. If so it is a brilliant strategy from the WTs.
Are you trolling? God no.Anyone still think Teddy is done?? Looked sharp the other night. I would be going all out to get him back. Bula could play centre easily.
They signed them a few years ago. They signed Schuster a couple of months ago.Ill take "who are the Fainu brothers?" for $200 Jeff.
Did his best work at second row, but even as a 13, his price tag rules him out.I'd take him as a 13 not a 6

Which is interesting as Des pushes this "fortress manly" idea.Don't know if true but heard that Seibold wanted to get the boys club out of Manly and he has offload about 5 or 6 young players so far this year without a worry if they are super talented or not the guys with non-work ethic
Yep, Fentanyl Zombies have more go about themDunno bout that,
He re-signed Schuster on big money though
He is no work ethic personified....

Waqa Blake? Please no!Hope we’re talking to people like Brandon Burns, Billy Smith and Waqa Blake?
Schuster signing is one of the most bizarre things out of Manly for decades. To not just sign him but bump his pay whilst not in form and then drop him within a few weeks of extending is just crazy.
I would be letting Manly stick it out with him holding the cap space to ransom because they will hit a massive log jam & have a few others that would add more value at a better deal when the crunch comes.
One of the worst defensive centres I have ever seenWaqa Blake? Please no!
