Sefarth would be a good retention if our forwards weren't stacked well already with more coming through. We need to sign backs.
All I want is a 1-17 line up next year that's going to play finals next year not 2 or 3 years down the road.Weve waited long enough .This years roster got us to 17th and we take out Brooks ,Talau and Laurie and add in Latu ,Jayden and Aiden and my calculator says still bottom 4 .The Harold Matts winning team from 2022 I imagine
So let's get rid of Atasi James. Biggest player in the club. They should keep him. Our forward depth isn't good.
My take is that these are the forwards we have outside of the top 17:- Justin Matamua, Brandon Mansfield, Brandon Tumeth, Sione Fainu, Asu Kepaoa, Samuela Fainu.
So far our 2024 roster is worse than 2023.So let's get rid of Atasi James. Biggest player in the club.
It’s not rocket science to identify and obtain a half decent playing roster. Its the space between the ears. That counts. Bellamy and Bennett. Cleary too. And Webster. Dont they stick out like a sore thumb.
The issue is you are supposed to replace someone leaving the top 30 roster with someone better.
Who are we replacing him with ?
Problem is that those 6 that you have just mentioned that you are saying are not good enough for our top 17 are in our top 30 for next season, makes it even more difficult for us to recruit players in positions that we need some quality. They should keep him. Our forward depth isn't good.

Wonder if Siebs has the nerve to play Koula at 1 and Tommy at 4?I hate to admit it. But it’s a lethal team when fit.
Class players, big forwards, speed that can’t be matched.
But getting it all on the park at the same time is the issue.
And also. Screw manly. But this is objectively thinking. They have a 1-13 to perform very well.
I’m happy with Samuela Fainu as he at least has the physical attributes to become a dominant NRL player, but so does Seyfarth compared with quite a few others on our current top 30 roster.Agree 100%. From a roster view point I guess Samuela Fainu is his replacement given Seyfarth was already off contract and we brought Fainu in. Fainu more suited as a prop with backrow optional but provides starts the year off the bench = Seyfarth replacement is how I see it.
We have the worst centres in the competition. By a long long way!!!!So you are excited for the potential of a 33 year old Gagai? Are we going back to being a retirement home for players?
Ha ha ha
And I’m the moron!
The have power, pace and an elite halfback. You'll always be competitive with that combo.I hate to admit it. But it’s a lethal team when fit.

It's fine to have money to spend but available space in the top 30 is definitely a major issue for us.
