Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Can we please recruit Tristan Sailor. He's obviously a first grader and won't cost too much. He has six try assist from four games. I can't believe there's talk of going to the super league
We were going to sign him before his rape case according to his dad. He's had some issues off the field before that too hence why there may not be too many takers in Australia and why he's with Brisbane under Kevvy

Basically it means that the top 30 is irrelevant, clubs can have top 50s with lots of players on minimum wage.

Some absolutely awful changes overall. I'd say shocking, but with Vlandys and Abdo running the show incompetence and craziness knows no limits!
Trying to turn it in to an NFL roster. The more i think about it though the more i think it could benefit the lower teams. A fringe first grader is probably going to have a better chance playing in the top grade from Rnd1 with a lower team rather than sitting behind a star studded side and waiting for SOO or injuries to get a run. Time will tell whether that is the case or whether top sides will just stockpile as many players as possible.

Hope not, he looked good on an edge at manly

Yeh, going off the under 19 soo the man had a motor but lacked impact...

But who knows wouldn't write him off in the front row completely just yet. He could have some good qualities for the front row too. Saw he covered defence well that game

That's why I think just as important for Fulton will be recruiting T&T and NSW Cup players on minimum wage for depth & experience.

As a club, we're in a position where we probably have to grant Top 30s to our top juniors like Da Silva, Galvin to keep them here.

I'd then load our Development deals to our next tier of identified pathways players to progress like the Laulilii brothers, Miller, Mason etc.

Train & Trials to players with experience for depth & leadership like a Dean Hawkins or Kurt Falls type who can't get top 30 deal but provide depth & also some potential x-factor types like your Jimmy Ngutliks.

Then some strategic NSW Cup contracts to players who can be leaders at that level and provide experience to our pathways players coming up (more of the Jack Boyling types).
That’s why it’s probably a really sound decision by the NRL to change the contract availability for players either not signed to top 30 or in top 30 but very short of experience.
Take Galvin for example. Some are saying he would be available for 25 season to clubs from November this year but this new clause states that he can only be considered on market until round 6 next year.
Then there is the 10 day cooling off option for the current club’s right of reply. All fair changes.
Restoring the June 30 deadline is better as well.
