Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I like you're thinking @The Chad . I do think though that if we re-sign Staines & maintain Nofa, we wouldn't go for Savage at his likely salary. But I recall another poster saying that Savage doesn't bring the best attitude either to training so may not be the best fit.
With Keao Weekes visiting the Raiders & likely to sign, I'd say players like Savage are on borrowed time.

Is he an absolute upgrade? Possibly not. But, he has an uncanny turn of foot. He's extremely dangerous with the ball. We simply do not have that on this team.

He would have to pass judgement on training/attitude obviously, but we simply do not have that kind of danger in the squad.

Only at the Wests Tigers could we fire a guy for exposing himself to his secretary, then try to bring him back without any sort of due process. And we have the usual morons like paws and vicious applauding this because he’s an ‘old boy’.

Not only do we have the dumbest management in the NRL, we also have some of the dumbest “fans”. Unbelievable.
That said, I don't see the need to call a couple of fans 'morons' just because they hold a different opinion- seems harsh.

Xavier Savage definitely an upgrade, we do not have anyone with his blistering speed or tackle breaking ability.

You know you make sense.

The alleged incident between Farah v Furner and the exit of the latter from WTs may be unrelated. Furner was a Sheens' appointment and Marshall no doubt has his own ideas on who he wants as his assistants. In any case, there can be no lingering ill-feeling as one party has left club.

Why is he not getting a go at Canberra?

I'm pretty sus about guys that clearly have the ability to be regular NRL players but are kept in NSW Cup by their current clubs. Lots of people were going crazy over Franklin Pele last year, Bulldogs signed him, and he continued to be a reserve grader.

Oh, if only if blows happened when JT was in charge.

Hey, Farah vs Jason Taylor. I would PPV that as well! Reckon Taylor would be lucky to last 1 round.
And hindsight is a great thing isnt it,
Robbie was crucified over the Jason Taylor shit as well at the time.

And at the same time we were all hating what Taylor was doing to our team, but a big amount of supporters were taking Taylors side.
when Robbie has always stood up for the West Tigers.
And here is another occasion.

Surely the bigger story is us poaching Fonua Pole from the storm a little while back?

I’m surprised he is in the running , I thought he was let go for unsavoury reasons , I could be wrong , but memory says we got rid of him
He sexually assaulted his assistant.
Permanent blackball from the club is required. No more jobs for the boys.
If we condone sexual assault then what the heck are we doing as a club. The dinosaurs on the board need to go, this isn't just a 'boys will boys' thing anymore.

He has a poor attitude and is a half assed trainer apparently.

Lots of talent, just can't be assed doing the hard work to get to the next level.

While he has the x factor i don't think we have a good reputation with turning around lazy players, if anything our lazy and complacent attitude at the club will only bring out the worst in him.
If he went to the storm he'd become a star...
