Who cares about David Riccio, his opinion is irrelevant.
IMO opinion the only centres worth 800k are Stephan Crighton and Joesph Manu. Plus they provide fullback cover for injuries

Can cover fullback also, good pickup for the fins!! Knights will offer Best 2.8 Million over 4 years and he will stay.

I'm a big Herbie fan and have been for 3 or 4 seasons. I think he is as good as Crichton and Manu and just gets better all the time, who knows when and how high his ceiling will be if he stays injury free.

Not enough quality players in the comp for us to be in any position to lure them to the club in our current position. Best, Luai - managers using us to bump up their contract value with their preferred options - which at this point won't be us. Benji has got his back to wall - and it's not about being positive or negative it's a reality of the position the club has put itself in after years of poor management and decision making.

Would love to bring JAC back ,Staines and The Fox on the wings would be pretty lethal .
Tupou has great potential,maybe he could be turned into a centre? Playing Tupou and To’a both as centre could potential be a disaster however.I’m happy to splurge on a centre ,but for us it needs to be one with elite defence.Not sure Best fits that.

His best was one season under Des to get his current contract. He's been crap the rest of his career. He's a young BJ Leilua

I don't understand the Suli link. WE replaced an inconsistent Suli with many various versions of the same player over the years- talent in bounds, but only see it every few weeks.
Best is a great athlete. I don't know if he's a great player, but he's an outstanding athlete. I worry if the money is over the top for what he brings though.
The club just upgraded To'a, so he is clearly in the plans. Tupou looks in line for an upgrade too.
I think we need a consistent player or two to add to the squad- guys that you can trust to hold their assignments. I'm not sure the money spent on Best or Suli is wise.
Luai I get- great player. The Sullivan & Fainu signings make Luai questionable, I guess. BUT...he's a great talent.
If the club is willing to spend big on Best, I'd rather they spend big on Tass from Souths. He is the type of player we don't have out wide.
And, of course, Hymel Hunt.

We are not in a position to not chase origin players when they become available. Until we start closing the deals we’re going to stay rooted to the bottom of the ladder.

No to Suli, absolutely a yes to Best. I'd go as far as 900k for him. We need some quality in the outside backs department and we're going to have to overpay for it I'm afraid.
