Staines had the 2nd highest meters per game last year just behind Bula. He actually does pretty well at either finding a hole or getting to ground quickly if he's going backwards.
You don't have to be massive to make meters at the back, look at Dylan Edwards, he beats the first defender everytime it's crazy.

Edwards actually weighs 94kg, he’s not that slight.

Staines submits in tackles which causes very slow PTB’s. I wouldn’t resign him on anything near what he’s been on.

That's not correct. Teams do create their own content however it has to be approved by the NRL before going live.

Whilst the NRL continues to fund teams they have every right to ensure that the branding looks consistent. That's marketing 101, and it happens across all major sporting leagues around the world.

Agree I thought he used his speed and ran between defenders not trying to run over them like a lot of others.

The problem is when the ref calls surrender and it’s a 10 second play the ball and the poor bugger who takes the next hit up is running into 6 blokes who are off a run up. Players like To’o, Suruva and Sivo when he runs hard are the prototype wingers for success. It’s like having additional forwards out there.

Tupou getting a bad wrap for no reason. He has
shifted from side to side wing to wing in 1sts
fullback, wing, centre in reserves. 2nd year back
to league, his numbers aren't bad, he's a power
runner, doesn't have a big personality just gets
on with the job. We can afford excuses 4 vets
who've been playing 10 years, Tupou doesn't
need any such concessions he's been good,
will only get better with some competent halves,
he gets us out of yardage fearlessly and has
shown a lot of application with his high balls
and running game. Don't want to hear about
defence we've been shit across the board tbh.
If he was on the market right now he'd be gone
 
It's interesting that neither the club or Charlie have discussed his progress from the bowel perforation. He's no longer listed on our site and every sports/footy site says he's without a contract or a club.

Was good early on but tailed off later in the year. Confidence player.

I think Benji will be good for him moving forward.

He made a successful return from the injury. I think his $ value is likely the issue as he was rumoured to be on Noffa money.

I dont think there is anything to discuss. He returned to play from his bowel perforation. He wouldn't have done so if he wasn't recovered. He ended up missing more games later in the season due to a hammy.
