Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’ll be imagining the 2019-2021 Olam not the one who was dropped all year for Melbourne then dropped by PNG
Another thing we have to remember is Benji is after more voices out in the field hence the attraction of Sezer & apparently Olam also brings that. His experience & talk would be very beneficial for a young backline. But as long as his body is right after this season’s injuries.

That’s was Joey about himself I don’t remember him talking up anyone else.

Both were so inconsistent they would never have played well together on the same day. But imagine if they did both on their day were team destroying weapons.
No, I was hammered on here for predicting they would both be flops because of their poor discipline. Plenty told me they were going to go great, some even said they were the best centres in the comp. Olam has been a solid/honest player his whole career and had a bad year. Not the same as them.

Yeah I can’t see Olam being like either of those two. I reckon he’ll put in his all on and off the paddock till he retires. I just hope if we sign him he has no more injuries and can still play to an nrl standard and not decline.

Olam is signed with Melbourne to 2026 so if he they do a swap deal I’d assume we’d take the whole contract.
With Heighington on our coaching staff I could see Olam learning his trade as a bench impact middle forward to close out his career. Maybe a year or two in the centres and then a year in the kamikaze role.

It's interesting that neither the club or Charlie have discussed his progress from the bowel perforation. He's no longer listed on our site and every sports/footy site says he's without a contract or a club.
I was reading up on his injury. It is a rare but very serious sporting injury. Former Bulldog / Panther Tim Brown retired when he did the same thing.

Yeah he won’t be a gun for us like he was for them, but probably still better than what we have, and I really can’t see him being a lazy loudmouth who thinks he’s the best centre on the planet. He is definitely smarter than Joey L, Olam is doing a degree in physics or the like.
Yep get that we are in a position that we have to take some risks. No doubt Olam also has to weigh up the risks in relation to where he is at in his career and how possibly joining a struggling club like WTs will impact it.

He played for the Storm. We're the Wests Tigers. Different.
I agree it’s different but the Storm were a defensive rock for years. I never recall people saying Olam was a weakness for them. His form this past year was a concern but he’s got a lot of runs on the board imo.
