Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Blore will take the next step in the next couple of seasons it’s a shame we have to swap him and keep gronks like flippers and Simpkin. Quality roster management.
The club needs to offer up a player who would be somewhat appealing. You can’t trash players all season and then be mystified when they aren’t used as bargaining chips in potential swap deals.

Do you reckon Bellend has been checking out my posts all year?
We’ll listen here Craig, Flippers Kepoea is a gun winger/centre/2rf. He has super flipper hands and bionic eyes 👀.

Cue the Blore fans….

Olam fan right here. Strong. Athletic. Hard. Outstanding.
Blore will be a great middle in the same vein as a Haraweira - Naira . He is not an edge player . He doesn’t offer the strike out wide , and his line breaks this year were back against the grain hitting tiring forwards in the middle .
He sees himself as an edge player . But edge back rowers in 2023 are IMO athletic specimens akin to NFL running back or linebacker . And whilst he is a leader , has a smart football IQ and is a great person , if he’s not an edge player , and now he’s a middle , where abouts does he sit in that pecking order ? Or more importantly is his value that much above anyone beneath him that a swap for a position of need ie. centre , will be a net loss .
And I think the truth is , if you do agree with me of the above , that a swap would Olam would definitely be a net upgrade .
It really does suck though that he just isn’t an edge player . Because man he has all the intangibles IMO.
Like I said though there’s as good locks today in the club younger than him , who have infinite potential. So for me it’s a yes to an Olam trade . But definitely begrudgingly

Any reason he was a substandard/always hurt player who seems way too nice to be a footy player while with us?

Ron Palmer ? lol archaic training strategies ? Is that what you’re implying ? Rotten luck ? I’d hardly say he’s way too nice , he hits like a Mac truck if you run anywhere near him . Problem is you get to his outside and he’s a yard too slow an a bees dick below desirable agility , and its line break central with a clever footy player . Those are the thin margins of elite sports unfortunately.

Olam making tough carries and some heavy hits off his line in a tigers jersey would be pretty cool to see. He’d add a lot to our outside attack and is experienced in a winning culture.

Would be a great signing - we need some class out wide desperately

Know the Storm are happy to move on. Hope Benji does his homework. All ask is it’s not on a 4-5yr deal if it happens.

He’s always smiling, in a team that gets its pants kicked off every week. Someone compared him to JFH - he’s never smiled once and they’ve won 3 comps.

It’s the Wests Tigers. Same team who extended Naden for no reason and filled the last roster spot with Seyfarth. I have zero faith in common sense deals.

Personally think Olam would be a dud signing for us.
Hard to disagree.

If he can't carve at the Storm, we expect him to at the wooden spooners....?

However, he trumps every centre we have currently in our top 30.

So that's the situation we've got 😅🤣
