The whole AFB for Papali'i talk is very premature. I think people are forgetting that the Warriors have not actually indicated that is who they would want in a trade, let alone if they're even willing to swap AFB for 2024.

Paul Crawley put out an article where he completely guessed who the Warriors MIGHT want in a potential trade. His guess was purely based on the fact that Papali'i is a kiwi. For all we know they may not even be willing to trade at all, and if they were it might be a completely different player in a different position. After all, they've signed Capewell and already have Niukore, Ford, Barnett and Harris all capable in playing those positions. In fact they were so confident in their backrow they let Curran go for nothing.

If anything, they would want a prop for AFB as that is where they have the least depth in quality. So much so they had Barnett playing prop, who was more notably a backrower. They were so light on in the front row that they had Tevaga and Sironen playing as middles off the bench in the finals series.

No you didn't. You asked me if I knew what he was in prison for. Then you blatantly lied. You said that I forgave him. I did not say that. Forgiveness would not be mine to give. What I did say was that he had made amends. I assume he served his time so he paid his dues in a judicial sense and judging by his comments he seems to me to be genuinely remorseful. On that basis I don't believe his past has anything to do with anyone on this forum, you included.
As you are such a student of English (note capital letter) I'm surprised that you not only misrepresented my original post but then didn't understand and misrepresented your own post. That's pretty embarrassing for you.

Highly highly rated by the club and will definitely be presented an offer on November 1st 2024 if he’s available.

However, the bad news is Manly are working tirelessly to get a deal done before then and will most likely do so.

I'd like to think positively that his wife/partner will have the biggest say in the decision. Mateship with your western Sydney mates is great, but it won't pay off your mortgage, allow you to accumulate savings for after football and put food on the table/provide for your family in the years ahead.

I've always been intrigued by this theory that money ends after football - why ? If he has any considerations for the future he's doing something about it now so that when that day comes he walks away with another career - maybe not $850K a year but a reasonable income nonetheless. Not all footballers end up on the street after their careers are finished and the rest of manages to live till 70's and pay off a mortgage on far less money than he'll earn.

Whether he is or isn't planning for the future, his bank balance will look so much brighter if he accepts our offer! He may never get an opportunity such as this again. That was my point.

As an aside, my late wife and I had a strategic plan to ensure our sons could own their own homes without debt within 20 years of their birth. Paying off our mortgage while a fine achievement, was not going to be enough and waiting for their inheritance was not practicable. So we invested in property on relatively average incomes, made sacrifices to achieve our goals. Unfortunately, their mum did not live to enjoy the satisfaction of knowing our sons now own their own homes debt free due to our planning. I believe parents assisting their children with buying homes will become common practice.

I assume Luai has children and is family orientated. I assume also he would want the best for them and being in a position to help them would be a priority. Accepting our offer must be tempting.
