You’re doing well if you can go from the back to back spooners to a top 4 side. I personally haven’t seen much in him, but wouldn’t be surprised to see him become a revelation at the Storm.

25 rounds playing 80 minutes at their size batters them. We really need to work out some sort of rotation where both don't play 80 back to back weeks. I can't remember which club, but I remember a few years ago someone did this. One week the left backrower would play 80 and the right backrower 60 minutes. Then swapped it the following week. Kept them fresh. Bateman in particular would benefit from playing just 60 minutes.

This is where an impact, athletic type of option comes in hand like AJ. 20 minutes a week on an edge and covering injuries out wide is a significant contribution that he could bring. Simple and short. Maybe even Doueihi could hit an edge for 20 minutes when he returns.

We can't defend that way anymore. The scramble doesn't work in the modern game because they see someone is out of their position and gassed.

As for rotating them, my thoughts is our fitness guys need to pump Bateman a bit harder but heck. Try it.

Nah, we took him on when the pamfers cut him lose after an acl. Yet we stood by him and he shits all over us, is that karma??
