Speaking of speaking (There’s a dad joke there somewhere). Imagine Having four club’s worth of players to go to the US and advertise your brand for the upcoming season opener. You got well spoken dudes like DCE, Pat Carrigan, Cam Murray etc etc. Imagine reading through that list of names and then saying ”Nah, let’s send Woodsy”

Not huge on player’s ability to converse. For every Brooks and noffa you have a Greg Inglis or SBW. Not the be all and end all.
That fits the buz Swoosh blog I read earlier. Nice.
Mind you that was mentioned as being for the vacant GM role. Richo would be excellent in that.

Interested to know how the union guys get salary cap dispensation. In theory, you could sign a bunch of union guys for a big cap discount and spend more on the NRL squad
As a club in the last decade we’ve always complained that we weren’t fit enough. But I actually think it’s a combination of players in the squad being lesser athletes compared to other squads and probably not being trained hard enough. The more elite athletes we can get, that can play footy, the better. Seems like Galvin is ticking a few boxes early on.

I read earlier he was on a 1 year deal, wouldn't expect big dollars.

Definitely could play Bench, again anything can happen during pre-season. But would I pick him over Twal, no, would I pick him over Seyfarth, probably not. Samuela to me at least when I watched showed me nothing special that tells me he is a main stay in our side. Now I'm not the coach and I can only speak from outside looking in so I don't have all the info. He may be one of our best during pre-season but I'm not one to go all in on youth. We need experience. The average age of our squad is roughly 23... That is only accounting for this year and not counting for the juniors coming into our Top 30 in 2025 which all of them are under 22 by the time they are in the top 30 I believe. So he definitely could play but to me at least there are better players in front of him right now; could change in the future though, who knows.
