Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

& for those who are complaining he's 27 years old....

He's 28 in a few weeks 😅

So two years to learn the game in NSW Cup cup and he can make his NRL debut at 30… peak Wests Tigers outside back age.., will be able to then play outside 32 yr old Olam in 2026

One of our Top 30 players .. centre .. Solomone Saukuru .. the stats says he is a 185cms tall (which is about bang on 6 feet) but weighs in at 115KGs .. now thats a big unit for a centre .. is his weight a typo .. ??

He looks way taller in the preseason photos, but also not that heavy.
Certainly looks like a big unit though. I asked if he was any good and a few of those in the know said he was a little way off being ready, may not ever be.

This kid will be more than a cult hero trust me. The guy is a weapon. I expect great things. For the first time ever we will be able to have aerial attack.
I hope you’re right about Alaimalo. I’m not as confident as you are but time will tell.

At least as you say we will have some tall outside backs to provide an aerial threat, as well as a halfback who can put the kicks where they need to be.

Who gives a rats about his age as long he is performing at a high level. There has been any number of players peform at that age. You really are glass half empty sort of person

Hey buddy … if they are going to buy a lottery ticket … I’m not gunna get excited about it..,

List for me the “any numbers of players” who have moved to the NRL with no RL background at 28 and have been successful…

Here are a few articles on Solomon Alaimalo from the past few years.

Covers his battle with mental health, his rookie of the year award last season, how highly he was rated back in 2019 & being an aerial specialist.

I'm loving how often the words 'fast' and 'aerial' are used & must be in a good head space with support networks now to deal with the rigours of professional football.
