Gday guys just wanted to drop in and say congratulations. This is a massive win for you guys as fans. Parra we’re going in circles for years till our board got blown up and we started again fresh. I really don’t think it will take you guys to long just getting rid of those jokers is a massive step forward.

I look forward to hopefully both Parra and the Tigers being competitive sides and we can show the rest of the NRL how to pack stadiums with 2 of the biggest fan bases in the game.

Good luck guys and girls.
I’ve been thinking this was our Denis Fitzgerald/ Burnie Gurr moment. Kick started your climb for sure!

I’ve been taking a break from all things WT related & Rugby League related for a while now haven’t been on in here in almost 2 months but after today’s news to say i’m over the moon is an understatement. The dawn of a new era is finally here where everything that was holding this club back has finally been removed & it seems like the club has appointed the right people to lead us into something new something great. A big shoutout to @cochise @Joel Helmes & all the guys who run that podcast who finally said enough is enough & enforcing the change that us fans have desperately been craving for a while now. Last but not least UP YOU TIGERS LETS GOOOO 🖤🤍🧡
Good to have you back kid

Am I the only one who thinks this Shane Richardson thing came out of the blue?

Let's hope the next CEO and Chairman don't like staying in the news and just get the job done away from the limelight.

The Head of Football will be a very big appointment.
Curious, who head hunted Richardson and BOF?
Was it the current board, the Holmans Barnes group after learning of review results? BOF great I mean it almost sounded like he knocked on the door after hearing Coates wasn’t interested but wasn’t Richo in Queensland last we checked?

I see it a bit differently, mate. Stapleton is on the football committee which ensures continuity at a time when we have two major contracts on the table for Luai and AFB. that speeds up a lot of the onboarding process which is far easier in comparison to bringing in someone new.

as for Burgess, I don't believe he will be on the WT board at all. he has left his post and WSM are yet to appoint their representative, which doubles as the fourth Director. for all we know that could be Dorahy.

additionally Dave Gilbert looks a wise appointment on HBG's behalf. a skilled and experienced sports administrator. who comes in as a fresh pair of eyes. I don't see any issues there.
Well said @jrtiger , I was thinking the same re continuity with Stapleton on the football committee.

We all need to remember this is an interim board overseeing the implementation of the report recommendations. How the future board will be set up we do not know yet but will no doubt be a recommendation in the review.

To be sure I was very comfortable that going forward the clubs identity was in good hands.....strong Wests Tigers branding with a strong connection to the legacy clubs.....that was important to me and many others. I like to feel that my legacy support for the Magpies continues within this new club......we have all been through much and further change isn't acceptable.

Now there may be changes with an independent board. LO is close for me but long term the independents will probably angle for the south west, probably Liverpool.........point is there may be changes we may not like.

We had a football operations issue. This may be solved with the appointment of Richardson .

The previous board is responsible for Benjis appointment and our prospective recruitment including Richardson.

All this does is remove HBG (not Wests Magpies) control of the Wests Tigers.

Who knows?
I’m pretty sure the only season Liverpool was mentioned was because Lee’s law firm is based there. Having the club there would’ve saved him a trip to Concord for face to face meetings and discussions. I don’t think Liverpool will go ahead now that he’s gone.

The independents may ask for a move to the south west but the evidence right now suggests it is a massive gamble. It’s not guaranteed to work (not yet anyway) and unless it changes, I don’t think they’ll do it.

its still early days anyway mate the changes only happened today. Once it settles in we may know an idea.

This will be unpopular too, but Sheens was absolutely shafted and should have been kept in the role, but I can't imagine someone like him getting along with former executives.

No more "robust conversations"...what a bunch of tools.
Sheens, Madge, Potter… maybe even Ivan.

Hopefully Benji is given the tools to have success.

Don't be scared... There's nothing to fear.
Embrace change... Embrace the new.. Adapt and grow.
