Another great podcast guys! Good to have some Wests Tigers content in this distinctly quiet period.
Would not be surprised at all if we land Luai & AFB (with IP going the other way & Blore extending with us to fight with Sam Fainu for the backrow position). That would be a big morale lifter for the club in '24 for '25.

Luai and AFB would be tremendous signings, unfortunately without a GM of football and Where’s Wally as a CEO we ain’t getting them.

Normally agree with Steve but this time not so much, we don’t have a top eight squad. Position 9-12 best case.

I’ve always agreed with him on the need for higher standards and attention to detail. Those higher standards need to start in recruiting top end talent so our coaches actually have a battlers chance.

My hope is a heavy hitter like Richo combined with a young popular coach who can relate to players changes our recruitment fortunes. 🤞

Thinking we will make the finals next year and setting a goal to make the finals next year are two different things.
I agree with the assessment that if you are talking SMART goals, then coming 8th should be the target.
Specific = Yes. A target has been chosen.
Measurable = Yes. NRL ladder
Attainable = Yes. We lost 8 games by 6 or less this year. Turn that around and we’re up there.
Realistic = Yes. Our halves are better than last year, our fullback more experienced and our pack will be better after another preseason together.
Timely = Yes. The end date is known (6th September).
Do I think it will happen?
No.
