Wests Magpies Pty Ltd own 90% of Wests Tigers Rugby League Pty Ltd. BTRLFC own 10%.

Holman Barnes are majority owners of Wests Tigers Rugby League Pty Ltd, via their 66% stake in Wests Magpies Pty Ltd. WSDRLFC own 33% of Wests Magpies Pty Ltd.

So will this change now?

Let's be real here. These are the football club's owners, and they are going to be represented on the board. I guess they could elect to only appoint independent directors but those people would still be the choice of ownership and ultimately answerable to it.

If the absolute, fundamental problem with the club is its ownership the only ways to resolve it are to persuade the owners to put the club into some sort of blind trust or sell it. Neither of these seem terribly likely.

Wasn't it the longshot undertone of the review anyway?

The primary hope it seems was that HBG would retain loose control but not direct control by creating majority independent control of the board.

So much was achieved.

Changes were coming regardless .

But I suppose the next petition can be about pressuring the HBG to sell.

Wouldn't surprise.

Had a great day, like most WT fans.

It has been a momentous day and I'd hate to see a grifter get any credit for it. you know as well as I that that is not what Cavanagh was complaining about. he was complaining about Balmain DRLFC election processes and WSDRLFC processes. He made official complaints to ASIC about them (which were completely ignored). Dont be disengenuous and try to deflect that he "said" Lee and Pascoe were arrogant and didnt listen, everyone here already said that.

If you make a comment at least have the spine to stand up for it.

But Gallagher didn’t say what Cavanagh was right about did he. No you just assumed. If Cavanagh had an opinion about Lee and Pascoe being arrogant and it is highlighted in this latest WT development wasn’t he right to some extent despite whether we all thought similar. The difference is all is Joe nobodies haven’t been in the same position as Cavanagh to make that evaluation first hand.
I will say though Pascoe seems to be a bit more humble in his exit strategy. Though I have no doubt that is due to the fact that unlike Lee with a multimillion corporation to fall back on Pascoe has to see himself to the next sporting club as a decent option for a high level administrator role.

I think his best shot is to be the Magpies rep. If he doesn’t come back on that way I don’t think he’ll be back at all. The final 3 spots will be independents and I doubt any Balmain or Magpies players will be used for those spots.

Pascoe was an employee. Very disposable.

Very different to Lee as chairman /sponsor.

Seriously if they went to him and told him , as if he wasn’t going to spend the last few months kicking rocks and bitching to the media about his stuff .
The riccio piece about the podcast boys was basically all but confirmed to have been leaked by Lee . It’s literally the same rhetoric .
IMO HBG did the right thing in snaking him the way they did . The right thing by wests tigers .
It rips the band aid off , blind sides him , he goes into his inevitable bitching phase , it lasts 24 hrs , Richo does a couple of interviews , and he’s yesterday’s hero by Friday .
For once this club was smart , and ruthless in the way they conducted thier business .
He even bitched about how the club tried to sure up finances for this coming season in case he pulled his money .
Like the fact he totally misses the point is hilarious . If the club didn’t think he was going to chuck the toys out of the cot , they would have given him a heads up . But they knew he was petulant . Hence all the skullduggery.

I’m sure the new selection process will take time. I doubt it’ll be in the next few weeks.
