It's the logical plan.
Move us permanently to Campbelltown then maybe change the logo to something the locals can relate to.
Maybe a species of the local birdlife.
Something like a Magpie would be good.
This would only serve the fringe element at the club who are stuck in the past.
NRL have poured 100s of millions into marketing over the decades and the Tiger brand is one of the most marketable. It's actually 3rd place worldwide as the most used team mascot. Magpie wouldn't rank top 500. I met a Chinese guy who immigrated to Australia and chose to support the Tigers because he was born year of the Tiger. The appeal is broader.

You can follow Collingwood if you need that Magpie fix.

You know there's a chance that I was attempting humour.
It obviously failed.

I read a post the other day which said Justin Pascoe had secured funding for a COE at Campbelltown. Is anyone in a position to confirm it? This would be a tremendous boost for Campbelltown and a huge win for WTs and the boys, girls, men and women in the district. Having two COEs would provide the WTs with an enormous advantage for junior development and ownership of the Campbelltown/Macarthur region.
If I remember correctly it's a shared centre of excellence with the local university and maybe the soccer team? Pascoe lobbied to have it placed in a better location for the tigers and for us to be included, it won't be as big as the concord one and will just be for our juniors

Is moving really debatable though.
It's in the independent review as a recommendation.
That's the bible right.

Not sure if you are “joking” again… but I’ll take what you are saying at face value…

Probably most of the recommendations will be adopted ….. over time …

Some will take longer than others to implement … this one might be one of those

It's a good move.

Our strength also becomes our weakness in that we have such a vast catchment area, that we need to do things twice, when most other clubs need only do it once.

We need to remember, in Junior footy, the kids rely on their parents for everything. Having a facility close to their home is going to make a big difference.

I'm in Queensland so it really doesn't bother me either way.
I'm just interested in the reaction to recommendations that don't fit with what people expected.
Will there be the same celebration of progressing the club?
I already know the answer.

I think most people will think it’s the right move …havent seen anyone dispute it so far …

Will be interesting to hear the argument of staying at LO…. Eventually they will stop them playing games there given how crap the ground is

So?

What has that got to do with what’s better for the clubs future?

Just quietly … I live in Manly so I won’t be going to Cambo either …. Doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s for the best though
You're getting off track.... I'll leave you to it

You already know so. Why ask?
You can't please everyone
