Nothing to do with being a crap brand - which I do not disagree with by the way!

Just good business - everything behind closed doors!

Even while most of the News hacks live on the club's doorstep in the shire - where you can't spot the real footballers for all the wannabe roid-pumped bogans that frequent the low joint!
There was absolutely talk before hand that the Sharks were in the race to sign AFB. Maybe it’s just that people didn’t care enough to notice.

I see it as a form of trolling. GNR4LIFE is certainly trolling about this subject.
1. I am confident that he will sign. What’s wrong with that?
2. You think its trolling (Like seriously?) I can understand copping it if I was in here everyday saying it wasn’t going to happen and that the club sucked and every marquee player knew that. What the hell? Is too much positivity a bad thing now? Must you be in a state of being somewhere between a doomer and an eternal optimist?
3. It shows that people are taking this thing way too seriously. The tension is too much. What I find, is people will believe what they want to believe. So when im talking about the club finishing at the bottom of the ladder, it strikes a nerve because people want to be optimistic. With the Luai situation, everyone is so primed to believe that we miss out on every big name, that they almost want to believe he’s not going to be here. It’s almost psychological, that they talk themselves into it so much, that anyone who feels different they get annoyed, because they don’t want to get their hopes dashed if it doesn’t happen
4. My positivity that he will sign has no less basis than everyone freaking out that Gus is going to come swooping in at the eleventh hour. But everyone wants to be paranoid, so those sorts of posts are okay. Posts that show confidence and push back at unsubstantiated BS are clearly not though. Got it.
5. He’s gonna sign.

At this point unless you are Jarome Luai and or his manager (or someone in his inner circle) any feeling about what you think he may or may not do, or has done, is just that - a feeling.
Can confidently say that whatever the decision will be glad when it's official so we move on.

Yep he could be torn between us and dogs or there is a third party Hold up on our side , just seems odd this is not already signed off
Any man with self respect and pride wouldn’t change from a panther to a dog, that’s a clear downgrade. A panther to a tiger, now that’s an upgrade! Bigger, stronger, faster and bites harder!

What we do know is that he will 100% not be at the Panthers. The CEO confirmed that. So where is he going? What we know is that he’s accepted the deal with us. Whether he’s officially signed is anyone‘s guess. What is pure speculation is that the Dogs are waiting in the weeds.

🤤

Nothing to.it this stuff happens... Must be a bit stressful for. Him at the moment, he requested a week off at a time that's not crucial, his club responded positively letting him get his head together.
Respect all round sometimes things pop up we just gotta take a break from it all
Hell yea.

This stuff is high stress and crazy.
If I signed a 1Mil contract I would want a week and 3 bottles of fine scotch at least.

I'd say its the TPA's lining up- this time of year businesses close or limit operations, solicitors close with legal holidays and getting the i's dotted and t's crossed becomes incredibly hard. Im sure the clubs offer has been positively received (and hopefully accepted) but the added TPA's, which are the players extra gravy $$$, the clubs cannot be involved in.
AFB and all the other new signings elsewhere it didn't seem to bother them

Constantly repeating yourself over and over like it's fact when you don't know any more then the rest of us is trolling IMO. Give your opinion once or twice on the matter, state it's an opinion rather then implying it as fact like you are and move on. Your constant barrage of repeating it's done is too much.

At least it is positive, I'll concede you that.

Dude I don’t think it’s trolling

I think maybe everyone just feels a little annoyed that it seems from posts you’re super close to the deal - that’s the perception

And if you’re not that’s cool … but anyone saying it’s a done deal has to be inside the room.

Otherwise just say “I’m an optimistic fan who thinks he’ll come”.

What everyone feels is that we’ve been down this road 100 times, always missed out, always thought we had our man and it’s never happened.

So obviously people are going to be sceptical until it’s announced because we’ve been burned so many times.

As I said even Chammas texted me saying not to stress and we would get a Xmas present soon.

I still don’t believe it - because it is not normal for negotiations to go this long when we are ready to sign a player.

The tigers would be pulling all nighters if the contract or TPAs had to be done, and we made the other what two weeks ago?

We would’ve had our ducks lined up when presenting it knowing that we wouldn’t want it sitting out there for too long.

Therefore any delays would be “assumed” with a greater degree of probability than not, that things are being either deliberately stalled to get a better offer, or not deliberate but another suitor is agitating hard.

That’s my common sense logic to the position we now find ourselves in.

It's a form of hijacking threads and you're constantly arguing an OPINION.
You've told us all dozens of times yiur stance.
Whatever you're doing is very very different to your usual self so it seems intentional and it's very evident which is why people are questioning you imo

Mate, this thread is over 100 pages old. EVERYONE is repeating themselves.

Nothing I ever, even negative is not constructive
It’s just as tiring to read people turning to water based on absolutely nothing. Like I said before, the Penrith CEO confirmed he is gone. So where is he going? Leaves us in a very strong position. If I was trolling, I would not actually explain why I was confident or tell people why I think they are wrong.

Yea that's the line that sums it up, I couldn't put my finger on why it's annoying but you saying "whatever your doing is very different to your usual self so it seems intentional" sums it up perfectly. It does feel like he is deliberately trying to be annoying.

Again, if I was doing deliberately I would not go into long explanations like I did with you to begin with. You really believe I’m sweating on him signing so I can point and laugh and I say I told you so, wrong.

We are Wests Tigers fans, we can be leading a game by 19 with 7 minutes to go and get stung. We can be leading with 1 second and our kick-off to go and get beat in normal time. If you claim we have anything in the bag, you are just cracking jokes.

Just going off the facts
1. Penrith have confirmed he’s signed elsewhere
2. He’s accepted the deal with us. Question mark if he‘s put pen to paper
3. The Dogs/Gus poaching him at the last minute is just conjecture

that was before we signed J . L.
He is coming. No inside info. Just a hunch.
