Capt Pat you are a champion brilliant bowling and captaincy where you always seem to pull the right reins .
Only downers for me was Smith taking 1 hour to go from 49 -50 & day 4 Lyon bowling .Dont know what happened but he seemed really out of sorts .
Marsh is having a great series .
Lyon has always struggled in the fourth innings.
How goods Marsh been going this stint, he is averaging mid to high 90s this series, but The Don averaged that over his entire career, so lift ya game son.
The marsh family has been very productive for Australia over the years, it will be interesting if one of Shaun or Mitch’s kids make the Oz team.

For the amount of crap they cop as a family, they have been true servants to the Australian Cricket scene for decades.

(Just came across this little bit on Jeff Thomson from back in '77-78, and about the Don and "modern" cricket - I guess the Don would have been great in the limited overs games/test matches, even of today)

By Jeff Thomson:
On a rest day during the Indian tour in 1977-78, Don Bradman was around in the nets. I was bowling only leg spin to him, but he had a couple of young blokes trying to get him out.
With no pads, no nothing ... for a 68-year-old, he be|ted the hell out of them on a turf wicket.
And he hadn't batted for 20 years.
I went back in and said, "Why isn't this b*st@rd playing with us tomorrow?" That's how good I thought he was.

Who's going to partner Kwajaja in the 4th test of the summer at the Adelaide oval .
The choice is from Cameron Bancroft ,Marcus Harris ,Matt Renshaw or Cam Green
They will probably go with Bancroft ? However Bancroft and Harris to me are settling for someone " serviceable " but when they step up from Sheild to test level lack a bit of x factor
Renshaw to me is not an opener .
Given the Windies will be not at full strength I would take the opportunity to see if Green can develop into an opener ? If he can its a huge plus for the balance of out Test side .
For the ODI side they can open with Head and Marsh and we are spoilt for choice with the rest of the batting order

Don't follow cricket as long as this Woke captain is in charge, shame but just my decision
I used to feel that way but his individual performances over the past 2 years or so have been elite.
Best player in our team and one of the most dependable in world cricket.

So you hope one of our openers gets a pair of ducks ! Anyone else you hope will fail .
Sorry I support Australia so I hope they all go well .
Yep, you betcha.
Despised him since day dot and he certainly hasn't endeared himself over the years. Good riddance to the rat.

I'd go with Bancroft. Mainly because I like a right/left opening combo. Otherwise, there is not much between them.

But you'r right, I don't expect Bancroft, Harris or Renshaw to be around in test cricket for a long time. Although Renshaw could have a potentially longer career down the order.

Cricket Australia will pick who little Davey tells them to. They wouldn't have been on their knees in front of him for this long if he didn't have some sort of dirt on CA surely.
