Than this season, when rumours popped up about him going back to Parra, said he would be here next year, said he’d reassess his options this season as if he is off contract. It was piss weak.

I think the events of December probably vindicate the doubts he was having, and probably still has. The wooden spoon too. It is what it is.

From a different perspective and if you believe the review came to a good outcome like I do, wouldn’t a professional person make their feelings known if they found themselves in a position where they didn’t feel like they could ever achieve their career aspirations. The events of December vindicate many players who left and later said publicly that the Tigers weren’t as professional as their new environment.

Yeah and he laughed out loud when a Tigers premiership was suggested to him. I think they both came with low expectations and one of them isn’t sure they’re up for a rebuild after kicking the tyres for a season. Api came less reluctantly. On the field I think they both played hard. Maybe Api having earned three rings already isn’t quite as aspirational. Who knows, I know we have much bigger issues than two of our best players though.

Yeah, he’s here but don’t think he’s really bought in. But as stated, he was in a very unstructured set up so prepared to see if that lifts this year. I think deep down he regretted his decision hence all the associated hoo ha .

I’ll be surprised if he’s not a big improver this year. People forget how disjointed last pre-season was with lots of our recruits not training with us until very late.

No, but I do think Madge coerced him with a promise of International football plus his vision for the rebirth of the Tigers.
Which last year would have been enough for anyone to question their reason for coming ( apart from $).

And he played just about every game and rarely performed below par. Won us a game or two with defensive efforts from memory in a lean season. I’m not going to be down on a bloke for not being thrilled at a club running last with a bullshit management who torpedoed the coach. FFS.
