Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The reason I suggested Lancaster in the first place is that I know he played Rugby League in Kempsey through juniors. Anyone that knows rugby league knows that Kempsey is a great area for young talent…they play touch every day - almost like football in Brazil. It’s why players like Albert Kelly, Greg Inglis (from Macksville down the road), Tristan Reilly come from there.

He then got a scholarship to Scots to play rugby - he’s not just a 7s player with speed, he’s a bargain on the marketplace, and if it goes to crap at the Rebels and he has a good year in 15 a side, I bet a number of clubs will want him.

I’ve watched a lot of junior rugby - he was better than Max Jorgenson at 15 a side, it’s just that he went down the 7s route due to his speed. Also not bad for a younger wanting to travel the world!

Wish Api was 3 years younger.
I’m thinking he keeps growing wisdom but he ages a lot less than the average player.

In the normal player terms of reckoning, Id say he’s he’s only about 25 or 26.

Luck of the heredity draw and being of exceptional and optimistic nature, keeps him vibrant, agile and across his playing brief.

We must have done everything we could have to have aged him last season!!

Things seem to come a bit easier to Api than almost any other player in the game. He’s a freak!

I’m looking forward to meeting him this year at members things. Probably try not to talk about footy, give him break.
He might have another hobby we can discuss briefly.

Was looking at everyone’s squad numbers the other day for the upcoming season. Most teams sit around 28-29 only a couple at 30.
Bulldogs however have 31?!?!?
How is that possible?
Long behold, statement today from Phil Gould saying young prop Zac Montgomery has decided to step away from the game for a short while.
How does Gus keep doing this.
Oh; also noticed BBO is part of the top 30 this year but was dropped from the top 30 last year because he had a season long injury.

Played juniors for Sawtell Panthers against Kempsey Dragons countless times. It's part of that whole stretch of coast that just oozes bush footy.

Also, Greg is from and played for Bowraville, west of Nambucca.

I’m not caning him.
I’m putting some blame on the club.
2012 is when this bullshit run of ours commenced.
Didn't mean to imply you were Boss,
Was agreeing with you, And adding my thoughts further.

Gunners been bagging him for 12 years
- Let it go bro,
The kid could play...

Not everyone who should have got a go did under the Sheens regime back in those days either....
He had his favourites.

Yes, Bowraville - my mistake!

Last thing I’ll say - he’s actually an inside back (inside centre, fullback) but they play him in the wing due to his speed. He has the skills to play centres easily, maybe even five-eighth

Stepping away from the Bulldogs = payout from the Bulldogs
Gus Gould's way

Don’t think it’s desperate to identify talent before they are worth more.

He’s a decent chance to play for the Wallabies in the next year or 2.

Anyways, obviously not saying there isn't a risk associated, but not a bad gable to take the risk before value goes up.
Are you suggesting top 30?

Are you suggesting top 30?
Absolutely.
Nothing wrong with signing big, strong and fast athletes who can score long range tries.
Another one that look at is Mason Peut who will be called up to the Storm NRM squad before too long if no other club gets in first.
