Quietest off-season for a long time

Is it just me or does this off-season feel like it has positively gone quiet for the Wests Tigers ever since the club removed the cancerous people in our club. If you agree with me, please let me know who you think that used to leak inside club information like a cooking strainer and if you don’t agree with me please let me know that I’m wrong.

My opinion is that it was a combination of a former administrator and former player……but what would I know? All I can say is good riddance and good bye 😀

Former administration the major issue in my opinion. Sure, some players underperformed, but may have been quite different with other people running the club.
What I’m trying to say is that it feels like things have slowed down in the bad news department as it has gone quiet compared to past years. Any internal issues are no longer being leaked to the media like years past.

Richo and Benji are respected for their rugby league achievements, of which there are many.

The journos were right to shit can our previous administration and I’m glad HBG finally caught on.

It’ll be more about the footy now and less about our incompetence.

Not that I know for sure, but I do think certain player manager's have actively engaged in dispersing the occasional tidbit into the journalist's realm. It has been clear to me that a number of those guys did not respect the previous management and would do anything to manipulate a scenario that would guarantee WT negative press. We don't seem to be suffering the same degree of animosity toward Richo's new regime.

This makes no sense, nor does your OP. It hasn’t been a quiet off season at all. There has been drama, both good and bad. The quietness afterwards is somewhat irrelevant

I think this is known as the honeymoon period

It's been a good off season with little negativity bar nofo released

Richo comes aboard along with O'Farrell
The internal review recommendation. the board, hagi and Pascoe be punted has been implemented

Fulton moved on (and the leaks dry up)

We sign Luai and Olam...
Could be a worse off season

The best thing so far for me is that the "Boys club"seems to have been dismantled and only genuine people who want the club to succeed are in place...Its so nice not to see or hear Lee everyday spewing crap he knew bugger all about...
Noffa going isnt a bad thing, his attitude diminished the place and in my opinion was on big money which in turn gave him a big head,he has great talent but his ego lets him down...

Don’t agree. I actually think it’s been a very busy off season for us but the way it has been handled has been very professional.

We extended Api & Bula
We changed the top
We punted a fair few people
We signed 2 backs into the squad
We signed Luai 2 weeks ago
We swapped Blore/Olam 1 week ago
We punted Nofa with minimal noise last week
We continue to push out videos of the talented kids
We started talks with Stef to extend (no noise on this where as normally there would be)
We are putting up pics of training every week
Benji has done an interview with Brent Reid

I think the difference this year to others is that the noise around our moves is very professional and it’s mostly kept out of the media.

Yes.
The club has also controlled the narrative far better than in previous years as well.

Plenty of good stuff has happened this off season. There is always talk around the Wests Tigers to create drama amongst the fan base. We create more drama by trying to navigate and speculate our way through it all.
The outcome from the goings on from where I sit this off season, have been positive. My hope is that it transitions onto the footy field otherwise they will be waiting in the wings to crank it up again.

We’re still realistically a bottom 4 side. I think 12th would be really encouraging.

Maybe I’m being too negative … but Im thinking 8 wins and 15 th would be ok …

more important to me is Benji getting some experienced as an NRL coach .. Stef and a couple of young forwards stepping up … and one of the young halves giving me confidence he can partner Luai by 2025
