It’s startling to think if Pap or Bateman go down, the next cab off the rank is a a guy with 5 games experience. Unless forum favourite AJ will step up as our number 3 back rower? 🤔

You're right, we're very skinny in the second row.

It's also the case that we don't have a lot of out and out second rowers coming through in that next wave of juniors, with only Tumeth and Sukkar as examples, who are not only very young, but not exactly demanding early selection either.

Like you said, cover would likely come from AJ or Samuela, with Seyfarth another option. Hopefully that's something the club can backfill over the next 12 months. Losing Webster-Mansfield and Blore over the off season hasn't helped.

We are skinny in the backrow and in all sorts depth wise. Lets hope we have an injury free time of it this year.

The concern with that is say Bateman and Papali’i were both unavailable, AJ and Samuela are both more dynamic attacking type of back rowers, neither are known for their work rate.
I’d say Tumeth is more of the work rate type of back rower on our list, let’s hope he develops well this season and can be called on if required.

Samuela said in an interview though that he's been training both in the middle and on an edge.

Pretty much all of his junior rep footy history is as a prop.
