good songwriter, always has been.

not my cuppa tea but like all artists that size there's songs all of us recognise and she's a cleanskin. the issues with her label / licensing stuff took her to another level with all the re-recordings, imo.

her last few years have seen her branch out a fair way from the country / pop stuff she was doing for the first 10-15 years and is now in more of the indie folk / singer-songwriter type beat which has won her even more fans, and like others have said she's pretty family friendly in a way that many female popstars are not these days.
