She went from a musical superstar to a cultural megastar and icon seemingly without much effort on her behalf.
The machine behind her is what interests me.

For the reasons diedpretty said. An extremely safe, marketable artist. Everything else is the corporate machine at work.

I have no time for her but she's not insane, she appears to keep her nose clean and she writes music. Has a bit of an edge on her pop predecessors in Britney, Christina Aguilera, etc.

Think you’ll find they bought that out from under her from the previous sale that was done through her former record company…
she wanted to buy her work back from them but didn’t get the opportunity - which is why she’s re-recording all those albums.

Don’t know she owned the rights to her back catalogue - or that she would have got very well paid from the sale - if at all
