It seems that a lot of people are channeling their paranoia and PTSD from previous player losses into hot takes - so if it happens they can say I told you so...Seems people just cannot wait to link Stef to Roosters... Like they want him gone
Seems to provide a similar offering to Lobb I reckon.Tesi Niu is off contract for 2025...
Te Whare is not a long term option.
They have flexibility but targeted Tupou for a reason - while still having Bostock on their books in 2025...
I don't get the Bostock fixation....
Most clubs manage that sort of player disgruntlement in house and don't release depth players due to petulance (UNLIKE the Tigers under previous management)!Have you ever considered good players are not happy if they are not playing regular NRL and will kick and scream to get out of their contract if they feel they are a better chance of playing regular NRL at a rival club.
You don’t think a fit Te Whare is NRL quality ?
100%Seems to provide a similar offering to Lobb I reckon.
If we don’t show interest in good quality players who are not a regularly part of their current teams top 17, but could be of value to us, then we’d be the only team who plays by the recruitment/poaching rules. Most clubs manage that sort of player disgruntlement in house and don't release depth players due to petulance (UNLIKE the Tigers under previous management)!
Bostock would need to have a destination club to even request a release - and any approach by the Tigers would be a blatant breach of the poaching rules.
More trouble than it is worth!
Te Whare will NEVER be fully fit for NRL - otherwise he'd already be training to convert to edge back row!
That's why they paid big $$$ for Averillo - and Val is on $150-200K....???If we don’t show interest in good quality players who are not a regularly part of their current teams top 17, but could be of value to us, then we’d be the only team who plays by the recruitment/poaching rules.
Te Whare already looking significantly fitter than last season. I think the Dolphins know how good he can be and will prioritise him over the likes of Averillo.
Last season I would have agreed with you 💯That's why they paid big $$$ for Averillo - and Val is on $150-200K....???
They are playing him in the trials to try to keep his fitness up...
And he was playing in a trial against 2nd graders for much of the game!
I can't see him still being in the NRL within 2-3 years to be completely honest.
Yeah but I'm guessing your staff don't exactly love you so they'd be itching to get it right up ya.It seems that a lot of people are channeling their paranoia and PTSD from previous player losses into hot takes - so if it happens they can say I told you so...
Does anyone think that the culture under Pascoe was conducive to player retention?
Would you as an employee appreciate his practical-jerk if you were Naden?
If I played a stupid game like that with any of my direct subordinates I would expect to be hauled before HR...
Stef is a loyal level-headed kid - and still needs to reach his full potential yet before the vultures start circling with the real big bucks!
You could ask them - but they are in a very high stress role and I am very protective and empathetic to them.Yeah but I'm guessing your staff don't exactly love you so they'd be itching to get it right up ya.
You know I'm right.
@BAGNF05hi 👋 i skipped a few pages so apologies if this information has already been shared
- leaks from club have become basically non existant under the richardson / marshall regime
- matamua could be released if he can find a new home, hasnt set the world on fire in pre season , and benji showing preference to seyfarth and kit’s development
- bevan french’s management have reached out to the club , looking to return to the nrl, parra will be favoured
While I appreciate the info, don’t points 2 and 3 negate point 1?hi 👋 i skipped a few pages so apologies if this information has already been shared

It is the short-term nature of the body transformation that is concerning.Last season I would have agreed with you 💯
Regardless of the opposition I was highly impressed with Te Whare’s body transformation and believe he will be a star on the rise in 2024. I rate Averillo and would be happy if he was wearing a Wests Tigers jersey, but I can see him being left out of the Dolphins side in 2024.
It's one of those negative mentalities that if you tell yourself often enough that something bad is going to happen, if it actually does happen, you then kid yourself that "at least I was prepared", as if that really makes it any better.Seems people just cannot wait to link Stef to Roosters... I read when he left us he signed for an English club. When he got there he found out that it was a 2nd tier club and had to admit he didn’t know bcoz he didn’t read his contract properly.Amazed that he was able to get him a contract. 🤣 🤣 🤣
Yeah but he has to contribute to our rise. I'd like him to stay & improve his game, but if he wants to leave, he can go. It's not like we'd be losing Artie Beetson. They’re easy dots to join. Thankfully we’re not an absolute shambles anymore and may be able to convince him we’re on the up.
We need a greater share of wins to convince him that with Jerome coming, there is a good future here at the TigersThere will be plenty of rival interest in big Stef, let’s hope we can re-sign him soon.
