CEO - Shane Richardson

Pascoe is a CFO not a CEO. Our problem is that Richo will not be our CEO after this season. So who will be?

Lee will definitely continue with his effort to own our club, with money or influence. And if Benji succeeds at +50% win rate, he’ll try even harder.
Who said Richo won't be CEO after this season?

Corporate Box owner.
Brydens can have Box #1 and heck it can be the biggest one we can get when we play at Olympic park. (I am unsure how this works with us not having a dedicated home ground)... Unsure what's available at the new Leichaert.

Player sponsor/backer.
Pick 2-3 guys, superstars. Ensure Brydens throws in for them and that they get naming, etc. I could see Brydens sponsor the whole Fainu clan.

bringing me to the last point.

OUR WORST COACH ever, Alan Jones. Yes that is saying something considering who we have had here, but take the player management skills of Jason Taylor and combine this with the versatility of a Madge gameplan and the League knowledge of Justin Pascoe... He flushed a team with Blocker, Siro and Benny Elias...

Yet... Soufs used him. What Souths smartly did was put Alan as a player mentor if one asked for it. Bush kids who did not know what a bank account was, people who had trouble with finances... It worked... We can do the exact same with Lee H. Hi Lee you are going to ensure this kid from the Bush can rent a property...

^perfect role for him and us. More "Football" contact, but no involvement in Coaching or key decisions.
I stopped following Balmain when Alan Jones was involved. Fortunately he has never had anything to do with Wests Tigers.

Me. Technically Richo came out of retirement to take on our interim CEO role for 6 months (the end of the 2024 season).

He might stay on for another year, but I doubt it.

it was interesting that the lack of respect shown to Sheens and Benji over the Fulton appointment which he was involved in , was the same thing that actually happened to him and particularly Lee when they were sacked …No consultation about the decision prior to being made and informed via phone..( in Lee’s case)..

Pascoe had 9 years in the top role of a poorly performing team…if you look at other sports .. this was way too long …should have been sacked several years prior …
I back the board 100% in appointing Fulton. Obviously now it was the wrongish decision, but not a wrong decision as we got who we wanted.

Yet imagine if we did not sign Luai? + no Fulton
Just imagine for a second...
Latu Fainu signs with St George (as they were about to sign Fulton).

We would be left with Galvin, Maybe Sezer and maybe (or maybe not) Sullivan...

Some think the signing broke momentium. Sheens though had clearly wasn't digging us out of a hole.
We should have been firing on all cylinders and's Tim's fault.

Signing Fulton was a great decision. HBG not informing leadership about that decision was a massive mistake.

Not much from Richo in the media or club website this month!

I'm sure he came in, made a stand in the media straight after his appointment and now it's head-down bum-up implementing the review recommendations & probably a lot of working out the staffing personnel he wants in place.

Anyone else miss him in the media? I enjoy his forthright nature built on experience & know-how, just commands respect.

One thing with Richo is he drops the corporate speak. Open door policy, driving outcomes, create an environment for people to flourish. People are sick of all that nonsense in their jobs.

People are way too smart these days. They have access to way more information. You can't fool your staff and you can't fool the fans with corporate speak.

He is a bit more relatable to league fans. I think he just understands clubs, media and fans better than most.

Yes, it’s difficult for some people to face an employee and tell him he is considered below par, resulting in doing his job for him so that it’s done better.
what planet did these people arrive from? When are they going back?

Richo claims that previous season's membership numbers (around 20,000) were counting a significant number of free passes handed out to junior league players as WT memberships.

Says that he's unhappy with the misleading way in which it was reported and is aiming for 10,000 members for this season.
