Hope Green or Marsh go on to make a ton. Next gen needs to convert the starts.

Its obvious without Warner opening we lack a bit of intent Smith and Ussie both get 30 and a bit at really slow scoring rate -its like just waiting for the ball with your name on it .
Then comes Marnus gets 1 run off 27 balls and our other World Cup final hero also out for 1 off just a few balls .
We were 4-89 but Green and especially Marsh have partly rescued the situation
Admit Ball was doing a bit on a grassy wicket
I think 250 a good score on this wicket but can we get there im not sure

Green came of age today as a test batsman. Looked confident and assured. In fact, he looked like he was playing on a different wicket to the others.

It seems like a long wait to see Green live up to his hype.
Elite fielder, decent bowler and unconvincing batsman.
Today he stood up when the others failed…which they bloody did again!!
Our batting coach needs to be sacked.

Yeah, but it’s a little early for that. He needs to be consistent at number 4. Great day out for him though and this kind of ton can really be a turning point for young batsmen. I hope he puts a few more scores together this series to really up his confidence and then maybe we will look back and say Green come of age over that NZ series. How green was that pitch, must be a Green theme today.

Punter would make a good batting coach I reckon.
Only 2 comments (excuses) re poor batting
Wicket was very green and doing a bit
NZ bowled fairly well
However the lack of positive intent by our top 3 ( without Warner)
Set the tone .Only when Marsh and Green got together was any pressure put back on the bowlers
Biggest concern Marnus 1off 27 balls .Head last 3 test innings 0,0,1
He's starting to use up a lot off his "leave passes" he has in the bank following his heroics last year and a bit
