Turn on NRL tonight and shock horror Paul Kent is back and the first word that came out of his mouth is a derogatory comment about the cricket season and then says thank God the rugby league is back . Sorry Kent but a 12 mth footy season might be a bore and the population of countries where cricket is the main game is nearly 2 bill !!!!
Australia performs such that most regard us as the pinnacle ( except the English)

The issue with body line wasnt so much short pitched bowling it was the fields that were set which meant it wasnt possible to score or defend against short pitched bowling. Rules were changed as a result (no more than 2 behind square) and that issue no longer remains.

Yes that’s correct.
I was just adding to an earlier comment that there weren’t a lot of people getting hit in the head pre helmets.
It certainly did happen in that series.

Kent is a knob head. Some people don’t have the mental power for more than one sport and let’s face it I reckon cricket was probably a bit difficult for Kent to comprehend.
 
Now for the latest English delusion. Commenting on eve of 5th test Ben Stokes although down 3-1 including one loss by 434 runs ! Says his team has grown as a group and got better and at least they are not pushovers like (thinly veiled reference) Aust !
We lost series 2-1 with one win and one draw on pitches that were turning sideways
They the poms are "Legends in their own Lunchtime ! LOL

Mate it's all good because it will make the 5-0 flogging of England more enjoyable when the poms come here for their ritualistic humilhiation in 2025.They had everything in their favour last year over there and still could not beat us in a series
 
I watched English collapse in 5th test .They lost 7-43 to be all out for 218 after tea on day 1
Stokes a duck . Tried to spot Bazball but couldn't see it .Couldn't blame the 10 wickets on high scoring rate .In fact India replied to be 1-135 in a session .At a higher run rate
This coming on top of 3 beatings in a row looks like 4 in a row
I was actually hoping they might do better as India will be our main competition for the next WTC final .Betting same 2 in final at Lords 2025 as we won at the Oval in 2023
 
We win toss and wicket Green? So we choose to bowl ?
However wicket look docile and or our bowling looks docile
I think we made a bad call. 0-41 after 16 overs

What happened to this rule of thumb; 9 out of ten times you bat first and on the tenth time you think about bowling and still bat first.
3/71 I reckon we’re in front now though?

Yeah I seen that, did you see the wasted reviews, especially Fatstow’s one.
That Pom team is completely delusional about how good they think they are. And Bazball seems to be their excuse for getting flogged.
