I hope he continues to do well. Its nice to see him playing in the position and the style he should have been playing in for the last 10 years.

Would Brooks have had a quality season at WT with DCE and Turbo in the team? imho, he will get better as the season progresses regardless. He should have a quality season if he DCE and turbo stay fit. Looking at the games today I can not see us beating any of the teams that played today
Far too early, but if he has a strong year taking a back seat, you watch how fast people lament him not playing second fiddle to Luai next year.Would Brooks have had a quality season at WT with DCE and Turbo in the team? imho, he will get better as the season progresses regardless.
It was brilliant, fully deserving of a try. That move he put on to open it up for Turbo was noteworthy....
Happy he decided not to waste his life on the WT's,
If only it was that easier for us all....
Glad to see your heavily invested.Who was the club without a brain for a decade that didn’t realise this? How did they not figure that out?
Which commentators?
You’ve already said Brooks has no brain. If so, the club can’t be blameless for not utilising him the right way.
Brooks wasn't alone suffering from the clubs inability to achieve success on the field but he was remunerated better than most (and a lot more than many others at more successful clubs) for the same poor results. WTs set him up for life so now he can just enjoy his footy in what is clearly a much better outfit.Surely there's a fairly long list on NRL players in the game for 11 years that own their own home?
I'm pretty sure there's 15 other clubs where his time would have been much more productive...
History will never know.
Agree, Brooks has NEVER had the IQ or the voice to be a controlling half....why WT persisted with him at 7 god only knows.Glad to see your heavily invested.
Answer1. Potter, Cleary, and Madge all said it’s brooks team now. Which indicates that they believe brooks has the intelligence to control a team!
Answer 2. Matty John’s, Tallis, Vossy, etc. more will come out of the woodwork!
Answer 3. I have nothing against brooks more so the incompetent coaches we have employed over the last decade. That could not see that brooks is clueless and can really only play eyes up footy.
13 years.Remember all those years the narrative was "it wasn't Lukes team as Robbie was there", "It wasn't Lukes team because Benji was there" and then when he was on his own it was "finally his time", "his time to step up", it was "his time to take control and play his game". pfffff
13 years of pure shit for the Tiges no matter what role he was handed on a silver platter and protected for over a decade. He was complete shit when he wasn't in the limelight and it wasn't his team, and played equally as shit for a couple of years when it was "his team".
Glad he has moved on, zero loss to the Tigers as he did nothing and would have continued to do nothing this season if he was here.
Even a turd can be polished at surface level. One swallow doesn't make a summer. Lets see how well he plays for the entire season, or god forbid he is put in a position where he has to be the main playmaker for Manly. The hilarity and finger pointing at Manly fans will ensue.
Worse thing is we have to listen to the knob jockeys go on and on about another one we let go!! God help us..,all players kick on when they leave wests tigers apart from Woods
Even Pauga is playing well at Roosters when given a chance.
Brooks will have a huge year if DCE and Turbo stay fit
Sure, he wanted out the last 2 seasons, but then a wind of change may have had him reconsidering? Something Sheens said ‘you would think the coach should be able to get the halfback he wants,’ indicates some resistance from within the list committee, with board not willing to give ground in light of the Manly offer? He did.
We needed overs to keep him.
I've said all along that Brooksy would go pretty well over at Manly with some good players around him and the pressure of all the expectations lifted from his shoulders. As awfully written as this is, it still deserves comment
There is no longer a competition between the WTF and Brooks. He lost as did we all.
Today marks a new era for him and in 2 weeks it’ll be a new era for us. He played pretty well today and looks to be settling in nicely with the Manly backline that has lots of points in them.
It remains to be seen whether we’ll be better off without him. I’d suggest we will be.
That is exactly it.He just needs other guys who can break the line so he’s not the only person you need to game plan against. Simple.
How am I invested any more than you or anyone else?Glad to see your heavily invested.
Clearly they were idiots. No blame though?Answer1. Potter, Cleary, and Madge all said it’s brooks team now. Which indicates that they believe brooks has the intelligence to control a team!
They said he was useless? I find that neatly impossible to believeAnswer 2. Matty John’s, Tallis, Vossy, etc. more will come out of the woodwork!
So it is the clubs fault. Why are you so adamant that the club doesn’t deserve to be called out then?Answer 3. I have nothing against brooks more so the incompetent coaches we have employed over the last decade. That could not see that brooks is clueless and can really only play eyes up footy.
Even sheens saw it when he came back was trying hard to get a controlling half, Pearce, etc. says more about the douche bag coaches we employed. Mind u Cleary got the best out of brooks. It’s obviously hard to get a controlling half in the market. But we would of been better to get an old hat like sezer ti partner brooks years ago. Dumb coaches with no idea trying to reinvent brooks as a controlling half. How am I invested any more than you or anyone else?

He did.
We needed overs to keep him.
I said WE needed to pay oversBy reports, He took 700 at Manly.
Anyone considering that overs for an NRL half at his age with his experience
hasn't really had a look at the Market, Or the void coming inside the next 3 years,
And the lack of kids coming through to replace it...
well if players didn't fire after leaving us then they would have no storyWorse thing is we have to listen to the knob jockeys go on and on about another one we let go!! God help us..,
Thought all this talk of LB was "over the top" yesterday... Now you're chopping peoples posts on the topicWho was the club without a brain for a decade that didn’t realise this? How did they not figure that out?
