Got outplayed by the likes of AD and Hastings multiple times.

Another failure by the club.

Yep I remember Hastings was at least a part of 4 wins/17 losses. Vs 2wins vs 19 losses.

Look, players have good days and bad days. I am sure I can find video of whatever playing whatever.
The point is we were not winning. Even if Hastings wasn't our saviour (and he wasn't), at least you could scrounge a way out of 16th with him.

Man, I am kinda feeling I will sit 2024 out. I am not seeing a team , I can cheer.

Clubs over the years recruitment …. you call it what you will.…. incompetent, amateurish, inept, fractured, blundering or just inexperienced, unlucky, indecisive, or just plain old jinxed.

One thing stands out for me is that quality of our back up roster which is missing year after year.…. and again this year. Call me wrong if you will but my observation after watching over half century of rugby league, is that clubs with successful reserve grade have better chance of first grade sucess than not.

,,,,,,, and after I read our Magpie NSW Cup team list for this week I could only conclude that the Club just does not care. They may care about our young pathways potential talent and about 2/3 of top 30 roster but that then leaves a substantial gap and instills lack of confidence stemming from results such as ones we witnessed in Canberra.

I am normally optimistic and hate to making a predictions too early on likely Clubs season end standings. So I hope I’m wrong but I can only again see the “ground hog day”.

I’d go Twal to start at lock to sure up the middle D early. Matamua on bench to sub Twal so we can utilise his link & ball playing in the middle 3rd of the game.

Drop Junior Tupou - he’s an overrated bucket of crap .. can’t catch a ball. Can’t bust a tackle, has no pace and a turnstile on the sideline. Bennett is in for a shock!

I don’t think it will make any difference who we put in , if the coaches can’t set a proper defence and a attacking unit , I just can’t work out why it is so hard to get players deep and play out the back I have done it for years with kids as young as 11 years and a grade players , untill we get that sorted we will always be at the rear end of the comp
