Since the industrial revolution we've been doing our best to speed up what is inevitable and we're doing a great job. This from NASA -

Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 800,000 years, there have been eight cycles of ice ages and warmer periods, with the end of the last ice age about 11,700 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization.

The current warming trend is different because it is clearly the result of human activities since the mid-1800s, and is proceeding at a rate not seen over many recent millennia.1 It is undeniable that human activities have produced the atmospheric gases that have trapped more of the Sun’s energy in the Earth system. This extra energy has warmed the atmosphere, ocean, and land, and widespread and rapid changes in the atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere, and biosphere have occurred.

They’re not listening . This isn’t a debate , or sounding board for good ideas . It’s pretty much the opposite , and as such not worth the time and effort you put into grabbing that research .

That’s straight up horse shit my guy . The banks don’t care because you and I for the most part have mortgage insurance and as such thier investment is covered by it. And the investment ? Everyone above a certain age who is still trying to continue thier never ending growth they’ve experienced most of thier lifetime , would never admit as such , because it would undermine thier position and create the very thing they’re saying doesn’t exist .
Until there’s a change in power dynamics ie. a transition of power that any type of real conversation can be had .
