He has all the leverage unfortunately…they can’t afford to lose him ,,,I would try to squeeze him on the years …Maximun of three more and then see how he goes .. I doubt the roosters or panthers would offer him 4 …he is still too unpredictable..as you say

High priced players that I’d be highly surprised are there would be Klemmer, Bud, Bateman.

Basically our recruitment now and after November 1st will determine if we do anything along with juniors coming up.
Turuva and Luai are a good start but we need more.

Fairly realistic assessment. Guys like Klemmer & Bateman will need to decide if they can handle all the losing. There’s already some signs our forwards are fed up.

They are all under contract unfortunately … but I hope they are gone by 2026 …in fact ..I’d be happy if Bateman and Sullivan go at the end of his year ..but not hopeful

Well Richo has said no more signings for 25. Luai can’t come quick enough but not sure it’s enough playing behind this pack. I hope I am wrong but maybe our juniors arent as good as they were saying.

I don't understand the "no more signings for 25" approach from Richo. It's not like our team next year is a top 10 in the comp with the added signings, and we still lack such depth in the forwards. I really think big egos and a business over footy mind is gonna be the death of our club and a reason we will stay the joke of the NRL

He has to say that due to our cap situation and players under contract. That doesn’t mean they aren’t working behind the scenes to move along the guys who aren’t living up to their deals.

He was a good recruit at the time when we got him from the Dogs at a bargain price but the problem was that as usual we upgraded a player way to early when it was not justified, which seems to be what we do all the time just to make up the numbers.

Sure he was cheap, that’s for a reason. You get what you pay for - well we certainly have…

He was a terrible recruit. He showed zero nrl level form for 2yrs+ before joining. We were desperate & we acted like it. Then we renewed him for 3yrs without him showing anything and injured.

At the dogs they couldn’t get rid of him fast enough as he kept dropping the ball and missing tackles. It was the quickest release ever. He only joined us because we were the only club he would be guaranteed to play nrl with (those were his words as well).

How was he a good recruit? He got punted from Penrith for Ill discipline after getting on the coke gf week then did nothing at the dogs. Why did we think we can change people? That was the old regime anyway and I have faith it’s changing.

Not top dollar and relying on him to perform. His efforts fall short on most game days of late.
He needs hard and fast incentives to active his effort displays. Less take home money if they are not met.

Surely, every week in training you could see that the players we have, and the team picked each week is not up to it?

Even the bench - name me one player that would cause any nrl coach bother in game prep, or strike any fear into the opposition ? Nadda, no one.

Our attack is poor, there is no cohesion , and my mind is boggled, as our head coach was an attacking apex warrior in his prime time ?

Staines, toa, naden - honestly they are poor.

Bula - I think such a long deal on massive $$$, we got hyped in a shithouse season and signed on hope.

We play with no vigour , intent or focus.

Galvin I hope kicks on , ball playing lock after a year or two in the gym and growing ?

Look in qld - don’t see a lot of nsw cup . Can anyone comment on Isiah Iongi? Penrith fullback , Preston Riki , young Skelton at the dogs seems to get a lot of wraps?

We haven had a decent centre in over 10 years. Yet it is constantly our weakness.

Bateman - sheenius signing, he’s not the player he was , and fair enough too I guess.

I am sure Unkle Nick's favourite cap he calls "salary" and can reach into that cap and pull whatever he wants out of it. Seriously if you get the same money offers from Easts and PENRITH, would you take:
3x premieres with Yeo, Martin and Clearly
OR
2x recent premieres who have Spencer Leniu and Lindsay.

Unkle Moneybags wears the salary cap, he don't worry about these things.

Naden can play but every 3 games or so he has an absolute shocker and singlehandedly loses the game for the team. Every time we have him in the team we have to hope he’s not going to have one of those days.

The sad part is there is no one we can replace him with.

Problem with this team is we don’t have consistent first graders. Sullivan finally has a decent game and this time other players cost the team. There is every chance next week it will be the other way around.

Consistency, consistency, consistency....

We seem to not be breeding performance and most definately not breeding consistency.
