True, but does he have a point in what he stated tonight ?
I was excited when Benji was announced as our new coach and I’m hopeful he will turn us around and become the long term coach we need.
But I agree when Blocker, Braith & Co question why he’s chosen to head on holidays with his family when the club he’s coaching is in crisis having lost 8 straight games, offloaded one of our best forwards and now have a fight on our hands to retain our emerging forward leader.
I understand he simply wants to refresh, but put your shoes in his position and I know if it was me o would not be resting until I put together playing roster I was happy with.
Same goes for Richo, there is next to no talent in the UK Super League that is worth persuing and why do you physically need to be over there to offer players we are wanting to offload ?
Plenty of talk about our traditional home grounds not generating enough revenue, then why go on unnecessary overseas trips ?

Jason Taumalolo not selected for Cowboys this week. Looks like they may be trying to push him out. I'd pay $600k (with Cowboys chipping in the other $400k) to have him at Tigers. A new environment could do him wonders. Plus we need a lock...

No thanks,he is a battered warrior playing on heart and memory these days.He would do nothing to help our cause and just be another overpaid veteran marking time and we already have Bateman and Klemmer filling that role (thanks Tim)

Yep. We’re 5 minutes into the Benji era. I personally agree with Sheens that a rebuild is a three year process. The morons blew up last year so this year is back to square one. No use panicking when we’re not a top eight side out of the gates. Stay the course.

I'd be worried if Richo wasn't involved, this isn't his first rodeo this is his bread and butter. Going to teams perpetually at the bottom of the ladder and building them up is what Richo does. I can pan every decision HBG have made for one reason or another but appointing Richo was the best one they ever made.

I think the hype on Faagutu has come from the accolades the kid has racked up similar to the hype we've given kids like O. Large, Makasini, Miller, Galvin, Fainu, etc. Imo he's not been given the platform to show his talent and skill in cup this year only playing a couple games. Mainly playing Flegg and RMC this year and he's been pretty good on both fronts. Just needs consistent game time this year in cup alongside Kit, Miller, Da Silva and co cos he's been having a good year so far from what I've seen and according to stats on NSWRL

Blocker is a turn coat. He’s only interested in feathering his media prospects by turning on the tigers - just a big fat lump whose voice still hasn’t broken yet.

Just curious.

And if you’re not allowed to complain - what does being encouraging and supportive do if you keep losing and not improving? If we win another spoon do we just say “we support you benji and your new age relaxed coaching methods?

IMHO losing 8 in a row is a valid reason to complain about performance. Even the dragons have won 5!

The last time the fans complained they signed a petition and got rid of Pascoe and Lee.

Just got around to watching the replay of the Cowboys game,
Still impressed with how two of our youth policy (S.Fainu & Galvin)
are performing, teenagers playing NRL and holding their own 👍
I can see Galvin turning into a Lock in a couple of years when he’s body naturally fills out and a couple of off season’s in the gym.
Hoping the plan for S.Fainu is to keep his body shape as is and not bulk him up and lose speed.
Don’t treat him as a player that can cover middle as well, just leave him as an edge.
Let’s hope when we finally see his brother (the half) for 4 or 5 games in a row he gives us some more positives for the future.

Needs to come get on the tools with the real OGs. Doesn’t get built if we don’t build it. Then everyone says costs are so high. No one wants to do a trade. Suck it up.

That pair are my highlight of the 2024 season.

Can’t see one of the best young halves in the game converting to a forward, halves are too valuable these days.
