The clubs cooked

For those that want Arthur as head coach need to remember he took a while to turn the ship around also. With finishes of 10th, 12th, 14th, 4th, Wooden spoon, 5th, 3rd, 6th, 4th,10th and now sacked. No doubt the guy can coach, but how about we give our guy a bit more time to make some improvements. I've seen Brad Arthur coached sides get walloped also over the years.
Arthur is a very similar style coach to Madge. He is intense and loves a physical game plan. We all know things did not all go well for Madge in Tigertown. Of course the coach is ultimately responsible for results but without the right troops he has no chance.

On top of the two we have for next year we need at least 4 more hardened NRL standard players, than we can start judging the coach

We've got a professional CEO now. Put an experienced, accomplished coach in and we'll start to see progress with the roster, development, and ultimately, on field results.

The squad really needs to be upgraded for next year.

1. Bula
2. Turuva
3. Olam
4.
5.
6. Galvin
7. Luai
8.
9. Api
10.
11. Sam Fainu
12.
13.
14. L Fainu/TDS
15. Twal
16. Pole
17.

I have 11 players in the squad I would even contemplate keeping. Expecting Uto to leave.

L Laulili, Saukuru could come good as CTW.
Jordan Miller big improver at prop.
Broderlow promising second rower.
Makasini if signed likely replaces Olam in a year or two.

We need at a minimum a centre, winger, prop, second rower and a lock of quality.
It’s probably fantasy football but if you can get players like Royce Hunt, Blaize Talagi, Bostock, Adam Elliot, Jackson Ford. The ride may turn until we can bring in kids for experience and not rely on them we will continually fail.

The club was forecasting this to come Richo wrote a letter to members asking for patience and is now trying to offload most of the squad. It’s the necessary pain we have to go through. Either hang on a play valiantly and keep team unity or rip the band aid off and re create the roster.
It’s a tough sell asking a set of supporters who have only seen their club play finals 3 times in 25 years to be patient.

Yet is Madge a physical coach?

He passed himself off to be a physical coach. He acted all "tough" and wanted us to do extra training...
From all I see it went nowhere.

Flip it. Parra has definately been a "tough" team. Inconsistent but Tough and a lot tougher then our side.
Yes Parra have a good forward pack but the fact that Brad Arthur go the best out of that forward pack says a lot to me.

Manly will probably recruit Arthur, yet if I were the board and I had a choice today Benji/Arthur... Bye Benji.

While I see the comparison with Madge, Arthur takes a very different approach to achieving this physical game plan. An approach that players respond to and don't get sick of.

Players have also commented on how he has improved them individually as a player.

2 huge things we need.

Much like when we should've signed Flanno and didn't....
This is something we should also do.

But the club won't get it done.
another opportunity lost.

I’m not going to crucify him for that now… we have no idea what player he will turn into ..

I’m assuming you were just as critical when Pascoe signed Klemmer for 4 years at $800k.. was that a good buy in hindsight ?
While Pascoe may have final sign off, surely the Football Operations team, recruitment and coach are the ones who put the recommendations forward of who they want.

The Wests Tigers are in crisis with revelations their two best young players want out after Friday night’s embarrassing capitulation to St George-Illawarra.
Boom utility star Lachlan Galvin and front-rower Stefano Utoikamanu are both disgruntled after nine straight losses and the likelihood of three straight wooden spoons.

Galvin was overheard in the Wests Tigers dressing room after the 56-14 loss to the Dragons saying that he wanted out, despite being under contract until the end of 2026.

Galvin is under contract until 2026 and we need to start having players end contracts like Penrith. Utoikamanu is gone that’s becoming obvious no effort since week 5

15 years without finals. Patience is a virtue that wore off a long time ago. Some of us are over winning only 4 or 5 games a year. Is it too much to ask to have a season like the Dragons, where we just win half our games, and sit on the edge of the 8? Why do we need to cop winning only 4 games a year?

Teams went on 75 year dry runs don't get soft bro

Ah just want to point out to you that Brad Arthur was literally just sacked for failing to deliver as head coach, and Josh Hannay has an all-time coaching record of 11 wins 19 losses.
11 wins from 30 starts?
He’ll be a hall of famer coach here.

For a long time now, this club has had a lot of players that didn't care about winning or doing their best for their teammates. They only care about being paid, not working together for the best of the club.
