They were both struggling clubs. Not at Balmain and Wests
Cant remember that.. I remember the good times... they kicked arse... best playing rosters- amongst the EliteThey were both struggling clubs.
What are the advantages of mid season release for players not contracted next year? Small amount of cap money, favours to player agents, advance juniors?
These types of phrases that are said by all and sundry these days are weak as piss. Can hardly blame him.
He has been here through 3 wooden spoons, multiple coaches and new admin. Can’t blame him for wanting out.
Sounds like you can add Brad Parker to the backs list.
Bcoz he was not good enough and never improved. Not even good enough for reggies, and an 18yo already looks better. Why did we release Jake? We do we keep.releasing players? Like a broken record. Only Canterbury and Roosters can afford that.
Hard to know isn't it? Smith could be great. Could be awful. Hasn't even been linked to us, but despite the obvious hesitations, it would be worth being in the conversation for such players. We struggle with players coming here to take it easy before they retire, he's a good player but his attitude at the Tigers could be disasterous
And miss easy one on one tackles and then stand there with a smile on his face while watching and reflecting that he almost got them… I have never been so furious at watching some of his lame attempts to tackle and then his total lack of care and application to make up for it.. he is lazy and lacks any commitment to the resultIf by kill it you mean drop the ball, it’s a certainty.
Obviously Richo & Benji are getting rid of a lot of driftwood in order to free up Funds to import a half decent team.Maybe move them on when we can and have the club positioned to pick up players identified for recruitment or those from the lower grades identified as a priority upgrade. I am not too concerned about results this year as we all know it was going to be tough.
Or flippersHope the medical includes a thorough inspection of his hands to make sure that they are not actually feet.
An extra sharp tasty Cheese would be ideal for us.Hard to know isn't it? Smith could be great. Could be awful. Hasn't even been linked to us, but despite the obvious hesitations, it would be worth being in the conversation for such players.
That's not a laugh. It's horrific, as a Jets supporter we've been through the wringer already without thisWanna have a laugh, apparently hagepantalis and pasco have brought a 25 percent stake in the Newcastle Jets. Bye bye Jets lol.
Something we should have done?Hope the medical includes a thorough inspection of his hands to make sure that they are not actually feet.
Giving up is not ok.
Surrendering to defeat should never be an acceptable strategy.
While we won't make the finals in the top 2 grades we want to build some momentum heading into next season. That starts by bringing in new faces who might be able to help us jag more wins now.
Winning games now makes us a more attractive target for other players. Losing by 40 points every week for the rest of the year will get all of our current and future players questioning what's going on. We need to save face as much as possible.
Our objective in the NRL is to not finish last. Whether we sign someone on a 6 month nrl contract, or even train and trials with a view to getting a top 30 deal in 2025 we need to offer some nrl ready players the chance. We have no NRL ready players in our cup side, other than throwing more and more teenagers into first grade alongside one another, which isn't a smart move.
Out of the 3 spots available in our top 30 (if flippers leaves) at least 2 must be external players improving our immediate depth. Fast tracking a player a few months early does nothing to help us win games, it just increases their bank accounts. All NSW cup players are all eligible for first grade with no upgrade's necessary, until someone earns it.
On the plus side, our reserve grade side might improveAn extra sharp tasty Cheese would be ideal for us.
I just can’t see him giving us that, we’d get mozzarella, soft and rubbery.
