Yes it does.

So we have got rid of 4 players. Have roster spots available, but will be paying the equivalent of a decent first grader for players playing elsewhere.

There aren’t many players available so will end up paying overs for an average player on a long term deal.

2 years down the track we realise he is not that good, ship him out while still having to pay. Rinse and repeat

It comes out of the salary cap for players. That is, it’s dead money.

These are not first graders being cast out. Richo signed Luai, Turuva, Olam. Early days I accept but I’d say his eye for talent and ability to manage a salary cap is probably the only thing we can bank on.

I like Galvin but for me if he doesn't sign the updated contact inc the extension I would play him in reserve grade unless we get a deal too good to say no too.

I like Galvin and hope he stays... Although if he doesn't want to be here then a decision needs to be made if we should invest time and development in Galvin or move to someone else (like another junior) who is hungry for the opportunity!

These cast aways are guys who were on 250-500K. Not million dollar players. We wouldn’t be paying a motsa to offload them. All clubs do this.
