OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Someone on Fox, think it may have been Read, mentioned the coaching staff had spoken to him about moving to the back row. maybe that’s creating the urgency to lock down a half kind of contract?
Nah - it was Riccio who said that Benji originally saw him as an edge back-rower so when we bought the Fainu brothers is when they first sought a release in November - because Latu as a half and Samuela as a back-rower could BOTH block his path to NRL...

It was just double-dipping on why he was right to feel aggrieved - but as he has since progressed unobstructed to the NRL as first choice 6 - that is now a moot point (as Braith and Tallis stressed).

No suggestion he is being looked at as a back-rower moving forward.

Moses is following a script. If he gets what he wants, it will be repeated over and over again. Two and a bit years of minimum wages is not a lot for WTs. Besides, the 18 year old may change his mind when Luai, Turuva and hopefuly a few others arrive.
I get the impression his mind is overruled? Or he is in sync with those around him?
2 seasons to have a good think about it, from the outside looking on.
NG to far for mum and dad to visit.

Well it will be interesting to see how this plays out after their meeting and they still want out do a deal with the Panthers and say we have either Sam Lane or Angelis Hotere-PAPALII and Preston Ricki in exchange for the disgruntled player and his parents.

Originally i was told it was agent driven his dad is not help his cause either.

Hand fracture!
Probably a small isolated bone cracked?
Usually we get details regarding players' injuries, very surprised that they don't release any information about this. I only see two reasons why, 1. Galvin isn't consenting to release of information or 2. The club feels the injury, or the level of injury shouldn't be released to the public/ rivals.

Richardson has dealt with loyal local juniors such as Cameron Murray, Campbell Graham or John Sutton and it would be difficult for him not to compare them to Lachlan Galvin. These players love Souths but it seems Galvin doesn't love WTs.

The salary cap does not level the playing field when there is a contract in force and strong clubs denied the services of one of the most highly talented youngsters in the NRL by good administration from the Weststigers. This is the issue right now. Our club has performed well in re-signing him but strong clubs want Galvin but cannot get him. How can we become strong if our outstanding juniors are allowed to walk because "winning" clubs want them even if legally they are not entitled to them? The other side of the equation is the "winning" clubs will not remain that way if we deny them the best. I don't subscribe to the view that WTs is going nowhere fast. We have made significant improvements on and off the field and I understood 2024 would be difficult. Luai and Turuva and perhaps a few others are coming and Richardson is the CEO and one of our best acquisitions.
Nice to hear Abdo talking about the integrity of the comp for once. When realistically three teams win it over 70% of the time, it’s becoming a bit of a joke.

Maybe the club regressed Cleary too? I wouldn’t be surprised.

Here he is again the forum disrupter!!
Just trying to get your eye of the ball onto himself.
Stop bagging the club champ, we all feel the pain. Don’t need someone ramming it down our throats! Give it a rest

It would be moronic to reveal a hand injury to the opposition. I don’t know how people don’t understand that footy players carry niggling injuries all season. It’s a brutal sport. Johns played with a punctured lung, Burgess a busted face.

Bwaith said he played with a hand fracture when he was 18 loads of kids play through these types of injuries. It’s just his stage parents and the turd Moses who are try to make us out to look bad to the media and public. The media a just do dumb ti fall for it, funny really!

I'm not having a go at the club, but duty of care from 20 years to now would be different. Small hand fractures usually heal in 3 weeks (slightly bigger ones take 6 weeks so obviously can't play through those), so I don't see the need to risk him for insignificant games. Did Braith say if it was a finals game or a regular season game?

Potentially maybe Galvin injured his hand before he got suspended so club felt the 4 weeks of rest was enough? As I said, usually, players' injuries are released on club's websites on a regular basis but it's usually when they have taken time off.

Mate there’s guys making 70 tackles out there on the regular on blokes weighing 120kg. Unless your hand is going to fall off you play. That’s goes all the way down to amateur level too.
