Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Young Galvin getting clubbed to death here for apparent disloyalty. I understand.

I just don’t want another Ivan scenario where Pascoe got up and said Ivan would have to take his contract from Justin’s cold dead hand.

Then a deal had been struck and ivan was goneski in 48 hours.

If he doesn’t want to play for us, I’m willing to negotiate with another club but they will regret the day they cut the deal for a thousand years.

I’m assuming you don’t really compare what Richo will do with what Pascoe did ?

I don’t think he will keep him here a prisoner for two and a half years though either … comes a time when you have to try and flip him for something ….otherwise you just end up spiting yourself…

Will give Bud credit - given the attitudes of others you have to respect Bud for wanting to play for us and do well. He has talent and seemingly the right attitude.

No issue with him fighting for a halves spot and being willing to play anywhere in the 17
New to the forum despite following for many years. I think you make a really good point regarding Bud WANTING to stay not like some of our other so called super stars. Im from Port Beach and good mates with the Sullivan family especially the old man who could probably still play a bit now, and i can guarantee you one thing Bud wont give up trying. Hes only a kid and was a super star as a Junior with plenty of skills. Something tells me hes going to be a handy player to have at the club, and im hoping its not me being a touch biased, plus talking talking to the young man he seems very committed proven a lot of people wrong and really enjoys being around the place.

The kid's making the right noises, hope he kills it.

By the way, welcome to the forum.

Good point.

I said I was open for a trade if if comes to that…I just want to see some rare courage from our officials.

Ivan was a good coach, we should have insisted he honoured his contract and sued his backside off if he didn’t.

Instead we got some trinkets and have been in abject footy decline ever since.

I’m still hoping Galvo sees the light, but I’m prepared to cop some pain and misery to get entitled players, greedy managers and star struck parents to start learning who’s the boss around here.

Let them sulk i say, at least make things a bit uncomfortable for them.

Half of our players who leave carry on like Karen’s anyway!

I would keep the Galvinator until next year .. even if he refuses to play first grade … you gotta send a message

Let him walk a year early when he can legally negotiate come Nov 2025 … in return for a decent player ..or a couple of average ones …
